I agree...if they really wanted Ward transferred, they should have put him out AND used every kind of restraint they could come up with. I kept thinking, yeah, he's going to escape! So maybe they intended for that to happen!

I've never read any of the comics, but started watching this last year and found it interesting. It got really good mid season and is definately interesting now.

But the actor who plays the senator played Peter on White Collar, and I've seen all of those twice and every time you see the senator I keep wondering if he's got an identical brother or something, but he plays it almost the same and could walk back into White Collar in the same clothes and nobody would notice.

Not when it's going to get more SHIELD agents killed, as it did.

I'd be surprised if Coulson has bought Christian's story, but I think Coulson wants to get rid of Ward under any circumstances. He doesn't trust anything Ward says and he doesn't like Ward's influence over Skye...Ward is all deficit in his view, no advantage. I'm sure he's willing to give Ward up for the least advantage in any other way. If the deal with Christian pays off, he's ahead. If Christian kills Ward, he's still ahead.

So is there still a thought that Skye's father is Kree?

I wonder if the guards for Ward were Shield agents or from the Senator? If they are from the Senator then Shield can't be blamed for the escape.

Well, yeah, SHIELD is still responsible for the nature of his escape. Coulson and May should have known ordinary handcuffs would not hold Ward--they wouldn't have held May. They should have known that no ordinary mercs or military even lower-level HYDRA would be able to hold Ward.

As others have already mentioned, Ward could only be safely transported totally trussed and unconscious.

But...if those were Christian's men, Coulson might have been deliberately less cautious....

Exactly. That's why I thought Coulson did it on purpose.

I am sure we will find out why if not this coming week if not soon. On another note, did anyone catch the Marvel 75th Anniversary Show yet? I don't get to see it until Saturday.

The information about Marvel's early years was interesting, but when it got past the beginnings of the Silvery Age it became more rah-rah than informational.

But there were a few seconds of Ant Man footage, including a shot of his helmet.

Yeah. Most of it was just a commercial for Marvel movies and TV shows. But there were some interesting bits early on.

I didn't expect it to be anything else. That was the way Assembling the Universe was when it aired in March. It is something that Disney always did with the Animation but I actually like them for the nuggets of information you get. I do have to ask wasn't the Ant Man helmet also shown in Assembling the Universe along with the test footage of it where Ant Man grew and shrunk in size to fight baddies when he jumped out of a vent.
