When people say dumb **** like "more people prefer hot weather, so it's obviously better weather". Most people are idiots too, so what the **** does it matter? I always see this argument being used by heat lovers lol.....

Maybe this has been said but I hate it when you get unseasonable weather and people talk about "what a beautiful day it is/was". Yesterday it was 90 here. That is about 25 degrees higher than it should be and the news was going on and on how beautiful the weather was. It wasnt beautiful! It was freaking 90 in February!

Seems heat and sunshine is automatically "beautiful" to retarded news outlets.
It could be like 120 F, hasn't rained in two months, with a 90 degree sun angle and the media will go on about how beautiful it is.
Only thing that bugs me is when they whine about the weather and spend their time talking about how much better it is some other place.
I just want to scream "**** and go back there, then."

Kind of proves your point, but I still remember Sept 10th of 2010 here, normal high was 100°F/37.8°C, and due to an early season cold front, we ended up having a high of 96°F/35.6°C, but with blue dome skies and sub freezing dewpoints (very rare for mid Sept here), and the evening newscasts were going on about how beautiful of a day it was

That high of 96 F must've felt frigid.
What annoys me more is when news outlets go on about how "beautiful" a dry day is when we're in a drought. N*gga we need rain!!!

Personally I think 90 degrees with around 20-30% humidity is like heaven on Earth. Optimal weather imo. That said you're in San Antonio so it probably came with like 70 degree dewpoints, I'd pissed too. If I want to experience 70 degree dewpoints I can go to a ****ing sauna, definitely don't want that in real life
Seriously? So you're telling me I live in a dry climate? Well I don't. My place gets 900mm on ~120 days and I can tell you got a fact it is wet. Vegetation is lush and green most of the time and rain is frequent. It's rare to go a week without rain (or snow in winter) and many times there are 3-4 straight days with rain. Absolutely nobody here says "oh we live in a dry climate" or even "this isn't very wet". Just because it's not rainforest precipitation, doesn't make it not wet. It's like saying just because there's -50C in Antarctica, -10C isn't cold or just because it's 45C in Death Valley, then 30C isn't hot.
If 1000mm isn't wet, then why do so many have forests and lush vegetation?
I get saying 1000mm is not wet enough for you, but saying it's not wet period is just nonsense.
Like I said, the evaporation rate plays a role. A humid continental or oceanic place receiving 900mm of rain on 120 days would still feel wetter than a (hotter) Mediterranean or a humid subtropical place that gets the same amount of rainfall.
This Sydney suburb, also receiving 900mm, would still be "drier" than Rochester or any other Df climates that receive 900mm, because of its high evaporation rate and the fact they're prone to dry heat. As such, your idea of a wet or a dry climate shouldn't be based on what Rochester gets.
This is common vegetation in Sydney (a region receiving around 900mm-1200mm of rain):
Not very lush, is it?
