Basically this is how it is in a nut shell .....anyone who is drivning faster than me is a maniac , and anyone who is driving slower than me is an idiot ...lol think about it ....ive bet you have thought that ! lol
No, "hella" = obvious Californian, most likely from the Bay Area. I guess you could argue that we're all douches, but around here that's practically a required part of our vocabulary.
As rude as that may seem, if you lived here you would know what he's talking about... people in California LOVE to play games like cruising down the exit-only lane, then squeezing in at the last second to avoid traffic. While it may not be our duty to "police" these a-holes, after living here for a while, you just can't help trying to stop them from doing this. I admittedly love when someone tries that move, and then either has to exit or tick off the (actually exiting) drivers behind them. Sorry, not sorry! Furthermore, if you leave a wide gap between you & the other drivers in heavy traffic, you're literally going to sit there all day while everyone merges into your lane. Again, you would understand if you lived in CA & drove on our freeways daily.
I encountered this problem today and thought of this thread.
Two-lane highway, wide open except for two cars doing the speed limit (40) in the right lane, and then another car decides to plant itself perfectly adjacent to these two cars, going exactly the speed limit.
She could have so easily just moved over to join them, since they were going the same speed as her, but no, she had to keep herself planted in the left lane, with a bunch of cars backed up behind her.

You are describing a rude ignorant ahole deriving some pleasure from a little power trip, truly a pathetic course of action but thats what control freaks are all about,veritable communists of the road as everyone must conform to their ideas of what the rules and regulations should be.. ..

Nice to see someone pointing out to many of the others around here that there are some extremely diverse driving environments around the country.
A lot of people here seem unable to look beyond their own experiences.
