Satan knows that Jehovah God is powerful and yes, you're right he knows what God has plan for him in the end. HOWEVER, Satan doesn't care about us, so he wants everybody to go down with him and wants to cause fear and pain upon us. The bible said, "Keep your senses, be watchful! Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone" (1 Peter 5:8), and the bible also stated, "So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him (Revelation 12:9). We have to take these scriptures into our hearts and listen to God's warnings and fight with God against Satan and his temptations.
Let me get this straight...God kicks Satan out of heaven...and banishes him to EARTH, (among us)?
How logical is it, to banish the enemy, down to the same place as your most prized, beloved creation?
That sounds alot like locking the fox INSIDE the hen house (as punishment)!!! LOL
You know that's something I've always wondered about.....why does Satan, knowing full well God's plan for him in the end, continue to wreak havoc and evil? Does he know something that we don't? Any thoughts?
satan always knows more than humans do, after all he was an Angel. and you're right, he knows he will soon be destroyed. but he's NOT going down without a fight. he's planning on taking MANY humans with him to his destruction. those who chose to live foul see , (1Cor. 6:9,10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites. nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God).
satan KNOWS these are lovers of themselves, NOT wanting to follow or totally follow Jesus ,(Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me). and he KNOW these love the world and things of this world, MORE THAN GOD. sadly MANY don't understand that all of this will soon be gone ,(1John 2:15-17 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever).
satan also knows that as long as people are selfish, self-centered and arrogant, he has them. we can either allow Jehovah God's HS to lead us in the direction of everlasting life. by doing his Will as Jesus stated ,(Matt. 7:21 Not every one that said unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that do the will of my Father which is in heaven).
or we can allow satan to control our wicked actions, by blinding us from the truth ,(2Cor. 4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them). in which it would lead to us be begging to see the mountains fall on us, then to see Jehovah God and the wrath of Jesus ,(Rev. 6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb)! If this is even close to being accurate, there are going to be VERY few people who achieve Heaven....I have a hard time believing that, as the bible makes it clear that Hell will NEVER prevail...(what you have written is hell prevailing), in that, Satan has successfully drawn majority of people away from God/ the truth.
Think about that for a minute...If 99.9% of Gods children, WILLINGLY choose the enemy and his ways, instead of God and following his laws....That is hell prevailing!

It is very comparable to the spiritual selfish evil at the heart of murder .
Take for instance the bitter divorce of two parents in which the court has decided that only one of those parents
will have custody of the children .
The other deeply embittered parent decides that their life is ruined and they will kill themselves , but rather than just carry that out they determine that the other parent will never enjoy the lives of the growing children because they are going to kill the children and then kill themselves .
I know of a case where this actually happened .
They purposely do not kill the other spouse , just the children , because
they want the other spouse to live a life of loss and sorrow.
Satan knows his fate is sealed , but the one thing he does have at the moment is time .
Time to rob the Father of as many of His children as he possibly can .
This is why Jesus called him a " murderer from the beginning "
But as is so often the case when looking into the scriptures your interesting question begs another related question .
