If I'm in sin my congregation can certainly call me out on it. We also have a prayer meeting on Sunday nights. There is always a pastor/congregant relationship, though, so it's nice to meet with other pastors who experience things in common.

It is telling that you, jimmie and jeffbase see honesty as a "snarky attitude".

I should start making a donation to my charity jar whenever one of the three of you decides to shake your finger at me. My "Liar! Liar! Pants on Fire!" book drive did quite well. Kids will be reading the Harry Potter books they requested. School libraries are wonderful. As are kids who read thick books.

It's not what you say, but how say it. Your point would be more effective if you'd drop the attitude of derision.

Excellent! Less than five minutes and a finger shaking! The first donation to the charity jar is happily made. Now to choose a worthy charity. I'm thinking the ACLU and the work they do to support the First Amendment would be a nice touch.

I will assume me and Vizio calmed all your fears about pastoral sin, since you've resorted to ^^^

What an odd conclusion. I have no fears about pastoral sin.

Sinning pastors are another kettle of fish.

Since you quit arguing about who monitors pastor's sins and started ranting about kids reading Harry Potter books, I assumed we answered all your questions. No?

When did VOTING enter the churches? Is this in the bible? If so, it's got to be from Paul.

I don't even want to know about people's sins UNLESS they need a shoulder to cry on. If the Protestant churches are anything like the Catholic Church, there is bound to be plenty of sin at the top. The truth is, POWER corrupts. I think that is why Jesus is the only one between us and God, because if you give anyone power over others, it tends to corrupt them. I am accountable to God first and foremost. I am accountable to others if I break laws or cross boundaries.
