I am no scholar of the Bible but how is it possible that Jehovah said to Jesus that they should make man in his image? Man was here long before Jesus. That conversation never could have happened.
In a way you are correct as man was here for millenniums prior to him being named Jesus, but perhaps you recognize Jesus as being the Word as he was called in John 1:1? As that verse mentioned he was here for the beginning of creation.
What do you believe God put us here for? Why did He create millions of mortals who would have to go through this confusing, frightening and sometimes very painful existence? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
why do some decides to have children? it's because they desire to have ones that they can love, nurture and enjoy. well this is what Jehovah wanted, when he created the first couple. he gave them everything to keep them happy. at that time ,they were perfect, unlike us today. so they didn't have that selfish, greedy and un-appreciating attitude. he loved humans before humans could ever love him ,(1John 4:19 We love each other because he loved us first). some might say ,"ok, if they were "perfect", why did they disobey God?" good question!... it was because Jehovah God also gave them "free will." he could have made them as robots, under his total control, but he did. like human parents who loves their children, giving them some freedom.
still expects obedience from them. if they disobey, they are punish, after the parent explain to them what they had done. well it's the same way with Jehovah God. Adam and Eve could have obeyed, or disobey, they choose the latter! they DIDN'T use their free will for doing wrong! which cause them to lose their perfect state. (1Pet. 2:16 16 For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil). this doesn't mean slaves as what some may perceive it to mean. when Jehovah says "slave" he's basically meaning one who serves another, not out of fear but love, (Ephe. 6:5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ). they were not to be mistreated, (Exo. 21:2, 21:20,21 ,Deut. 23:15,16).
what we go through isn't because he "planned it", as some had said. because he's a "God of Love." we go though many negative situations because first, satan caused the first couple to sin against Jehovah God. when they disobeyed his one law. after that, sin came to ALL of Adam's descendants ,US! (Rom. 5:12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned). on top of that we as a people became , selfish, hatful, arrogant, greedy, immoral ,etc. we brought on much of these pains to each other and ourselves, yet we blame God ,(Pro.19:3 People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord). peace
Imagine being a being dwelling with God but not knowing what it is like to ever suffer? We choose to come to this holographic world for accelerated learning. If we are to be one with God one day, we have a lot of learning to do. This world with all the pain, death, misery, etc....look at how many people contemplate suicide. This is not a easy place by design.
Yes! We are here for that, and to learn how to respond to these trials. We're here to help others learn the same thing. And we are here to learn what it really means to love and serve one another, because when we love and serve one another, we are really loving and serving God.
God created us, I think, because it was his delight to do so. No ulterior or mysterious motives. He loves to create and he creates what he loves.
Sometimes I think it's damn unfair to be thrust heedlessly into a world of trouble after trouble - and I've had words with Him about it. Still, I have to admit that existing is a lot more interesting than not existing, so it's just empty griping.

You can read all the books on how to drive a car and pass every written test but until you drive it....to me, this is the moral of the story.

The childish idea that people were created perfect as adults, until they were deceived by Satan is foolishness. Now, if you are greedy, selfish, arrogant, hateful, and immoral, then you should change your attitude and demeanor, and learn to love others with that "freewill" of yours. It doesn't come from isolating yourself from the world like a robot in storage, while wishing for a utopia.

IMO it's no accident that throughout the Bible God is referred to as the Father and his creation as his children or his sons.
Thus I view the reason why God put us here similar to why some people have children. They have an abundance of love and happiness to be shared. They want others to experience that love and happiness. Its similar to why God started the human family and as descendants we exist (1 Timothy 1:11, 1 Timothy 6:15 and 1 John 4:8).
In the beginning God looked at his creation and saw that it was very good. With respect to his intelligent creation he gave free will. The confusing, frightening and at times very painful existence is a product of free will (Joshua 24:15).
It was God's intent for humans to have everlasting life. It was his intent for his intelligent creation to exercise free will in a manner that would lead to a life without end. It was not his intent to have humans die and for some to live in misery or experience traumatic life altering events for the short period of time we exist.
The Bible tells us the heavens (where he resides and not the literal heavens) belong to God. But the earth he made to be mankind's forever home (Psalm 115:16, Ecclesiasted 1:4). The conditions we have on earth now that cause misery will not last forever. Those conditions will be done away with (Isaiah 35:5,6 and 65:21-24, Revelation 21:3,4)
The childish idea that people were created perfect as adults, until they were deceived by Satan is foolishness. Now, if you are greedy, selfish, arrogant, hateful, and immoral, then you should change your attitude and demeanor, and learn to love others with that "freewill" of yours. True believers are here to spread the gospel (of grace) to all who will listen. When we step out into eternity we will be representing the kingdom throughout the universe.
When we step out into eternity we will be representing the kingdom throughout the universe.
It amazes me, how certain people believe they represent the creator of all that exists, and have the audacity to tell others what will or will not happen, after their present life is extinguished. They act as if, they are the center of the universe, and its controlling agent?
