We all experience God differently dependent upon the state of our spiritual development, IMO. So I do not find that very surprising at all.

In John 10:16, how many flocks are there said to be?

There are two folds, yet only one flock, under one shepherd. There is really a lot involved in that verse. Would you like to compare notes on what we think it means maam?

Great! We agree that there is ONE flock and two folds in John 10:16.

Yes, by all means, I would love to compare notes on John 10:16. Tell me your thoughts.

Will respond to this post later. Busy morning.

Likely you would agree the one Shepherd is Jesus, as revealed by verse 11, as well as those of the two folds are Christians, so why did Jesus say this? Earlier when speaking to his disciples he is recorded as saying: (Luke 12:32) . . .“Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom.

Can we agree that these may be one of the folds Kate?

Good Morning!
We absolutely agree that Jesus is the shepherd.
John 10:16 Jesus says He has other sheep which are not of this fold. It is important for us to first determine who “this fold” is and then determine who these other sheep are.

We can’t say that any of the sheep were Christians at this time because the Christian dispensation didn’t begin until after the death and resurrection of Jesus.

It seems clear that the “little flock” are Jesus’ disciples.

All who serve the master faithfully are the faithful and wise servants.

We need to read Matthew 24:45-51 in its context, beginning in vs 36 and continuing through all of chapter 25
The parable of the faithful and discreet servant, the wise and foolish virgins , and the parable of the talents are all part of Jesus discourse about being ready. Each of the three parables are connected.

Yes maam, they are, as well as the other sheep. Supplicate followers for the word Christians if you desire, because at the time it was stated that was exactly correct, however what he said was not for that time period, as none of them were yet anointed either, that would come like you stated, after his death and resurrection, and even ascent into heaven by some days.

Who is Jesus referring to in John 10:16 when He says “other sheep,” and when He says “this fold?” There are two groups here. Who do you think they are?

John 10
16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

My second question is what do you mean by “anointed?”
