I think it works well for the area. Not too thrilled with the indoor mall, but as long as there's ground floor retail, I'll accept it.
With neighboring 1200 S. Figueroa scheduled for an early 2015 groundbreaking, the Staples/LA Live area is going to look radically different in a few years.

I did see the Bisnow article. Yes, Capitol Riverfront/Navy Yard is on fire. A lot of residential development should be delivered and occupied by the 2020 census count, I believe. It's also nice to see a fashion retailer committing to the neighborhood (Hugh & Crye).
