Yuma, would be easier to move to and I wouldn't have to pay like 300% markup on everything. And it'd be tolerable to go outside for a greater percentage of the year.
Sioux Falls, SD or Huntington, WV?
Yikes. Winter makes me say no to both, but of those, WV in general is my preference. It’s a pretty place. Although as badly as I freak out driving in snow, adding even small (but steep) mountains is a terrible idea.
Kanakee. I prefer being in Chicago's over Nashville's sphere of influence which is a true big city, and there's even an Amtrak stop there for commuting.

Houlton, ME or Pembina, ND?
Brrr! Both are super isolated, but would pick Houlton since it's at least on I-95 with access to the rest of Maine and near Atlantic Canada which would be fairly interesting. North Dakota does nothing for me.
San Luis Obispo. Seems interesting place to live. Billings MT or Grand Junction CO?
Definitely Billings, much more significant place. Grand Junction is more of a small city/large town, on the scale of Bozeman or Great Falls. From streetviewing it looks like the downtown is largely just 4-ish blocks of one street. More interesting scenery around it but, eh, scenery isn't worth too much. And the emptiness of the Plains-y eastern part of Montana has been intriguing to me ever since I recently finished Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Thompson Springs, UT or Monument, OR?
Thompson Springs... The place itself looks like a near ghost town but it's less isolated from basic amenities compared to Monument. 25 minutes to Green River, 35-40 minutes to Moab, a little over an hour to Grand Junction. The closest town with any amenities/services by Monument is John Day, which still only has 2k people is just over an hour away.
I think Aiken, after checking city data profiles for both places. Aiken is adjacent to Augusta which I prefer, and it has less crime vs. Ocala.
I'm bored, let's compare the 2 redneck rivieras(so to speak....) for Florida. Daytona Beach, or Panama City Beach, FL?
