56. Dekalb County, GA - 261 Sq. Miles
60. Gwinnett County, GA - 433 Sq. Miles

127. Dallas County - 908 Sq. Miles

173. Miami-Dade County - 1,946 Sq. Miles

What was that again? I swear people talk out their arse sometimes. And if people have misconceptions about this, I'm sure they have misconceptions about a lot of stuff with Atlanta. Get your facts straight people.
Dallas:

7.Collin County - 886 Sq. Miles
33. Denton County - 958 Sq. Miles

What was that again???

Atlanta has 20 counties compared to Dallas's 12 and Houston's 10. I think maybe you should stop talking out your arse and understand what they meant by comparing metro areas.

Dude, Fulton Co. barely makes up 1/5 of the entire Atlanta metro. Harris Co., on the other hand, contains the huge majority of Greater Houston and includes many poor and lower class areas that does in fact skew the results. Combine Fulton and Clayton counties and I'm certain it would bring things down a bit.

Since the central county and city limits of Atlanta is much smaller than Houston, it's best to compare metro areas like another user had said.

What's with all the Texans and Georgians fighting lately? Remember the good ole days of three months ago when we would only fight with northerners. Tsk tsk tsk, I swear I don't know what this world is coming to! Lord deliver us all!

Exactly. Atlanta's counties are small compared to Houston and Dallas's counties.

I don't have time to add them all up, but feel free if you do. The link has all the Counties listed.

After a cursory look at them however, I don't think you will like the results.

Sadly, it seems that there are a lot of sour grapes coming from SOME of the Houston posters. I suspect is has something to do with Houston only coming in third in the poll.

Pretty much. Without South Beach, it could've went anyway.
