17:7 again yesterday. Can't seem to get back to 18:6 yet, but I'll keep trying.

It's really nice being home and getting back into a routine....

But it's good to change up, and go off 18:6 or more at times.

The body adapts over time as you know.

17:10 yesterday - fasted from 7 pm through 11 am, and then ate from 11 am through 9 pm (last night was game night).

Meeting the kids for brunch today, so probably only a 14-15 hour fast.

New record today... 192.2
Nothing until I go to McD's tonight.
I have a "Buy one Extra Value Meal with a large sandwich and get a large sandwich free" coupon.

So, I'll get a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Value Meal and a second one... no buns, lettuce on the bottom, stack 'em high.
I'll give the fries to the wife, but she has to give me one french fry.

Same rule applies if she has potato chips. She has to give me one.
I have eaten one Lays Potato Chip many times, so they lose that bet.

FWIW, still doing OMAD by eating a light breakfast, though it's frequently not actual breakfast fare. This morning it was a homemade potato soup and coffee. My coffee cup is actually two cups: coffee made with freshly ground beans, stevia and unsweetened almond milk. Bulletproof coffee is too much trouble and I don't like the dregs of the almond butter.

Really can't overeat, not more than a couple of cups, or there is a bad result. No room, I guess. In the late evening there is usually a moment when I feel intense hunger, but I can't imagine eating. I just observe the feeling internally, and it quickly goes away.

Mmm - I love me some coffee!

I am truly awed by those of you who can do OMAD regularly. I just can't seem to eat enough healthy calories in a single hour. Or even two hours. I solely do OMAD for those certain not-quite-so-healthy restaurant meals that I really enjoy. And those have to be planned for....

The brother-in-law is coming over for lunch with pizza today, I am looking forward to it!

For me at least, when you get older and are threatened with serious health problems, it's amazing what you can do. The hunger pains don't amount to anything and are easily endured. But meditation and mindfulness helps. A lot.

I find that I'm never hungry when I'm focused on something.

Yesterday, I was working on something called a "wheel stand", which is what you use to make a car hold up a flag pole.
It's basically a heavy tube welded to a heavy plate. Your car tire sits on the plate and a 20 ft telescoping flag pole goes in the tube.

This one's a mega stand, made out of 3/8" thick aluminum.
No one sells one like that and if they did it would cost at least 300 bucks. I've got 30 in this stand.
I want it to look like it's all one piece, so I put a bunch of epoxy filler over the weld.

I spent all afternoon grinding and sanding that epoxy until it was as smooth as a baby's butt.
Now it's ready for paint... just need the crappy weather to get warmer.

I wasn't hungry the whole time I was working on it, despite being at the end of a 48 hr fast.
When I got done it was dinnertime, so I washed off the dust (there was a lot of it) and went to McD's.
