The now ubiquitous statements claiming Trumps doesn't represent the Republican Party.

So what? No one cares.

Have the republicans been successful in the last 15 or so years at anything?

They still don't get it. No one cares if the republican establishment approves or disapproves of what Trump is doing. No one cares if the democrats approve or hate him either.

Trump is doing what he wants to do. You either like it or not, doesn't really matter. None of what anyone in the establishment says matters to him nor to people that support him, they (establishment) are blowing in the wind.

I might, if the candidate had made statements about people of my religion that questioned our patriotism and devotion to our country.

Does Hillary Clinton represent the Democrat party? Does Hillary Clinton represent you?

Pretty crazy that the crux of this whole debate over one soldier's open letter hinges on simple vocabulary.

More amazing that the supposedly superior intellects on the left are seemingly mad because others won't join in their misunderstanding and misuse of a word.

There was a key difference. The Benghazi family was a rant against Clinton. They were being exploited for pure political gain.

The Khan family was a defense of an entire religion under attack by Trump.

Yes they were being used to, however they were helping to heal a rift that Trump helped open.

Khan was all about healing the wound not inflicting it.

McCain had a lot of his own problems with the families of soldiers that were missing. He blocked their learning of the fate of those soldiers. He has no room to be critical of anyone else. He is sore loser and doesn't even have the support of most in his state.

If people cared what McCain had to say, he would have been POTUS.

Military service members gave up some of their constitutional rights to uphold ours. They know the sacrifices involved. Captain Khan served, so Mr. Trump and the children, and 99% of us didn't have to. To me, that is the ultimate sacrifice. That is why military is so awesome, many simply will never understand the sacrifices they ALL make.

I think maybe Khan's words have been taken out of context. What he meant to say is patriot Muslim like his son have made sacrifices for this country too, so the ALL Muslim ban is uncalled for. It is a valid and powerful argument / statement. But If I were him, I would not ask others "what have you sacrificed?" Not really a fair question. They should stop participating in the political circus.

I hope one day, they can find the peace and love they have been searching for. Too much pain and anger. so sad.
Whether it was a fair question or not, it's a powerful question. And it's been very effective. Maybe Trump should stop his circus act of attacking and insulting people.

I wonder why Trump's kids haven't been out there trying to clean up after his dad's latest gaff. The families of Gold Star parents are not people to mess with and anyone with any decency knows that.

What's even more amazing is that the supposedly superior intellects on the right keep misspelling Mr Khan's name.

Only for 3 more months.

'The party is dead' but the party does or did have majorities in the senate, house, governorships etc, and may have again in 2018, just two years from now.
