I wouldn't expect overnight results from any demographic. Trump was depicted as a grand wizard for the KKK for 8 months - give it time. It would be absolutely shocking to see a candidate go from say 2% to 20%...that's a 900% increase!

Uh.. Romney won South Carolina by 10%. Trump is beating Hillary by a larger margin than Romney beat Obama.

Sorry, I meant he won with 55% of the vote (54.6% to be exact). Thank you for pointing out my error.

And the polls in August had Romney ahead by 15%. RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - South Carolina: Romney vs. Obama

This was one poll commissioned by the SC GOP, in all the other polls in the state Trump is ahead, but by a much smaller margin.

I would go in and honestly add 2 points to her poll numbers in states because Trump has no ground game to speak of.
I agree about the importance of the ground game but doubt it will be as strong as we saw the last two elections. I don't see the AA communities getting all the fired up over HC. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Trump does better with the Black vote than predicted. Hispanics? While I doubt he'll come anywhere near receiving what Bush picked up in 2004 the Trump numbers won't be a total disaster which the left predicts either.

I'd knock that 2 point ground game down to 0.5 this election.

Maine

Clinton 42%
Trump 39%
Johnson 9%

How is Clinton only up 3% in Maine? In Maine!?!?!?

Obama won Maine by 15%.

Default Clinton is getting only 73% of black support now, the lowest for a Democrat since 1960.

The second lowest--at 83%--was Jimmy Carter in 1980 (a race Carter lost).
