It might "balance things out" for USA may be, but not for the overall picture.
Because while Russians are migrating in droves, their "white" population has not been replenished in their own country - it's definitely shrinking.
Russia and many former Soviet Union members all have the same problems when it comes to population. Poverty, drug and or alcohol abuse, unemployment and host of other societal ills are driving down birth rates.
Keeping with current events, there is a reason why Russia and many Eastern European countries have orphanages full of babies and children needing parents. There is also a reason why porn and prostitution are big business in the same countries. It also speaks to why the surrogacy business is booming in places like Kiev. HIV/AIDS rates are growing as well along with TB infections IIRC.
The further away you get from major cities such as Moscow, the worse things apparently become.
It wasn't a query, it was a statement. I don't understand the point of the article you linked. It doesn't seem to relate to your comment, "not that much nor in a way you would imagine". And btw, I don't need the history lecture. I'm the product of a Russian emigre community, myself. That professor left out Seattle; it had a solid Russian community from the WWII period that BOOMED after 1991.
And it's not just Russians. It's Romanians, Bulgarians, Poles, ex-Yugoslavs, Ukrainians, and people from the Caucasus. US embassies have been handing out immigrant visas like candies.
Don't know where you are getting numbers from but everything one has read and heard is that it is very difficult for Eastern Europeans including Russians to get to the USA via legal channels.
In the 90's, cities that had been designated by the State Dept. as destinations for E European immigrants (usually cities that already had established Russian communities from way back, for example) experienced a deluge of new immigrants. They were everywhere, it was weird. I almost had to ask myself, "where am I?" I heard Russian around me so much, I almost felt like I was in Russia. And now they've expanded to new cities, creating entire neighborhoods of Russians, Romanians, Bulgarians, Serbs. New Orthodox churches have been springing up. I don't have numbers, I just have the evidence I've seen and that friends have seen, as well as internet info about new ethnic restaurants & specialty grocery stores catering to communities that never existed before, that sort of thing.
And sizeable Romanian communities sprang up where there hadn't been any. And some of them shouldn't have been given visas; some were alcoholics or had criminal records, but it's so easy to bribe local officials to provide a clean record, don't you know?
And they're still coming, though maybe not in such big numbers.

Why are you acting like its a good thing there are less European whites? So, you are outright claiming that black people lack the intellectual capability to sustain a western-style democracy, even though one of the world's best examples is currently led by a man who is black, and is, presumably, very well educated?
African nations are in the situation they are because they are run by corrupt politicians who have no interest in providing their people with a good quality of life, and only want to line their own pockets. Do you think a black politician in England is going to have the same attitude as the president of Zimbabwe, especially if he was born and raised in England? Be honest now.
And, in any case, I am not sure why you are singling out black people, when they are a pretty small demographic in most European countries, with Asians making up a much larger percentage, and here in the UK, European immigrants from places like Poland and Lithuania are definitely the biggest immigrant group. I presume the same is true in Sweden, and other WE countries.
Do you have the same objection to White immigrants from eastern Europe, or are they the exception?
Hahahahahahahahahaha are you talking about Obama?? Dude all jokes aside, he is going down as the worst president in U.S. History. He has absolutely done nothing he said he would. Stirred up racial tension on purpose, divided the country up by race and bashed every religion possible, divided the bi-partisan system into two separate entities that simply hate each other and will not compromise especially the democrats who won't agree to anything the republicans propose even if it's is exactly what the democrats wanted in the first place, but because they proposed it, it is not agreeable. Let's see, less people are covered by healthcare now, yeah he created a even larger artificial middle class exclusively for minorities which was already in place and extremely ineffective and complicated, but it gives blacks something to do at the expense of our tax dollars, gave even more special privileges to minority communities which doesn't make sense seeing as how we are already unequal because the minorities get treated better than the white majority(they are 12% of the population but "deserve" half of everything just for being born black...nobody guaranteed white people jobs, they just you know had to study, make good decisions, pay bills, pay taxes, play by the rules, just to turn around and get rejected for being white and not "diverse enough"....racist). On a side note the democrats make the American public pay our tax dollars into programs we don't agree with and are not only encouraging bad behavior but providing a cop out of taking responsibility for your bad decisions like abortion, food stamps, healthcare, social security, public housing, etc. all are burdens on the rest of us and create even more poverty by allowing people to do dumb things and get rewarded for it for free. Children are a blessing and a reward for the hard work you've done and the wealth you have created for yourself to be able to have the right to reproduce, not a paycheck or a string of *****-ish promiscuity to exploit. he doubled the national debt, **** on our constitution, filled our country with unwanted immigrants, then gave them amnesty free healthcare and voting rights, took away a lot of veterans rights to own guns, and also took away a lot of veterans healthcare. Committed at least a dozen war crimes in Libya, Syria , Afghanistan, etc. led the offensive to saber rattle against China and Russia, made our nation look and act weak in front of the entire world, unconstitutionally imposed unwanted laws on states and communities that did not pass congress, made our public restrooms including schools transgender where grown men can be in the same bathroom with little girls because we're all just human right? No difference in gender at all and if the state refuse they cut their education funding...weird wonder what will happen when they get control of the food supply or water and we don't comply with their irrational demands? By the way wages haven't increased and inflation has risen so essentially the poor are poorer too. I mean I could literally keep going if you want, but I'll just say f*ck no and f*ck you, black people cannot run anything correctly, blacks are actively trying to destroy America because they hate that we won't just give them money and power without earning it, and Obama is a tyrant and possibly the worst example you could have ever given. If "arab" is understood as a racial/ethnic term, then Syria had never been really an Arab nation. It is Arab by language. Assirians, Medopotamians, Greeks, etc. Are the ancestors of Syrian people, not people from Arabia...
