Ukraine has lost hope to join the EU. This is natural and anyone who knows anything the economy is clear. US will not allocate one billion dollars (which was supposed to provide as statements) for Ukraine. Funny Garbage done as it became hot immediately hide in the bushes. This is a good example of the way governments conduct foreign policy and is a detail that most people and especially the media often miss. The Allies are sort of diplomatically poking their finger in the Russian's eye by entering the Black Sea. But I am sorry to say that these ships cannot protect Ukraine.
A couple of Allied ships this close to Russia would probably be destroyed quickly by Russian airplanes. The ships have air defenses but they would be overwhelmed.
So besides annoying the Russians, the real reason the ships are there is symbolic support for Romania and Bulgaria. Its especially interesting that the French ships are entering the Black Sea because France has historic relations with the Romanians.
One of the French ships, the Dupuy de Lôme, is an intelligence gathering ship so they may be "spying" on some military and diplomatic developments.
Heard the word "porebrik". This word is usually said in St. Petersburg. But a lot of Russian lives in Ukraine , perhaps parents of a soldier lived in St. Petersburg.
