It has been an utterly fascinating day for followers of Donald Trump’s tweets.

The day began with Trump responding in his usual overblown way to a needlessly provocative comment from the Russian ambassador to Lebanon, who is reported to have said that the Russians would shoot down all and every missile the US launched against Syria.

This statement – by a relatively junior ambassador in Russia’s diplomatic hierarchy – goes far beyond what other far more senior Russian officials – notably Russia’s UN ambassador Vassily Nebenzia – have been saying, and is almost certainly untrue.
Rest of the story is worth reading as it points to calculated or measured action on both sides as the more veteran commentators on Syria have stated.

Trump draws back on criticism of Russia

Pretty much on point. You have to understand Trump to know his tweets can't be taken at face value. If it was going to be a big attack, it would have happened already. Element of surprise is gone. Everything from here out will be posturing...

All I understood was:

Does it mean "brother hunts turkey'?

Back to the circus? Lovi - I don't know it. Abratna tsurka - back to circus.

Oil hit $72 a barrel. 3 year high. Russia thanks Trump for his threats.

I was using Serbo/Croatian as a baseline as that's part of my heritage. 'Lovi' means hunt and "churka" is turkey, though admittedly my skills in the language are quite pedestrian as I was educated in English.

Oh, yeah... different ...
To my Russian ears it sounds like "prison jargon" or "mat". And, says a lot about Adrenalin...I can almost picture him from his two posts

Catch it back, "churka"!
- “Churka” is an inappropriate term usually referred to people with non-Slavic appearance, especially from Russian regions as the Caucasus or Central Asia . I believe it originates from "turc" (Turkish).
It is somewhat similar to the degradatory "n" word in English.

Agreeing on reality should be normal I hope. I can guarantee you any attack will be down played on Russian TV.
