Like you Nomadicus--we have lots of left over ham--oh and I do love ham--so we'll be having whatever we can that involves ham for the next day or two and then I'll stick the last bit, with the bone, into a pot of split pea soup to freeze in containers to have for months to come!!
Thawing some meatballs and sauce for spaghetti tonight.
Yesterday, I made DH's famous Caesar salad dressing in the mini blender instead of by hand, so we have a tub of it left to have a few more times. It's too fabulous.
We went to some friends' house after church and had lunch with them. Dinner will be leftovers - turkey, giblet gravy, baked beans w/ ground beef, (I brought these) - and ham, dressing, hashbrown casserole, pineapple casserole, green beans, black eyed peas, deviled eggs, corn bake, yeast rolls, strawberry pie, banana split pie, fruit salsa w/ Nilla wafers. I think that's all! LOL The amount of food we had was ridiculous! There were 10 of us, and we could have fed 20 more easily! So, like I said - dinner will be LEFTOVERS!
now that my mom is back from florida, i need to be prepared to go out more frequently. i made food for the week but she took us out saturday so we have a bunch of leftovers and now she is taking us out tonight. so i think im going to freeze some of the food i made in zip lock bags into service size portions.
tonight will be fridays. i chose it because they have some decent options for a guy who is watching his girly figure. last time i got some grilled salmon with rice and veggies that was great. the only issue will be dessert which we will probably split 3 ways so it wont be too bad.
