The steaks last night went into a pan with oil. Meanwhile I also fried some thin slices of potatoes in oil with some herbs and spices, as well as onion rings.

Dh was really please when I served him the steaks topped with onion rings and two fried eggs along with the potatoes.
This was way to fat for me so I enjoyed DS's leftover slice of w/w bread and a grilled cheese.

Tonight's bbq time, probably the last time this year because it's getting really cold. I already have slices of chicken breast marinating in the fridge. I made two sauces (oil + thyme + rosmary + lots of pepper + salt and one with soy sauce and hot chili sauce) and the pieces only have be brought onto wooden sticks. We'll also have some steaks and bratwurst. My mom made potatoe salad and I'll also stuff some baguettes with cheese and bacon cubes.
Yummie, I'm already hungry lol

Good morning everyone. Dinner tonight ... and all meals between now and Sunday lunch will be "whatever is left in the fridge". We'll do our monthly food shopping Sunday morning and the menu until then will be a healthy mixture of Clean Out The Fridge and What's In The Closets? That does sometimes result in some creative meals. I'll let you know if anything really good is created.

Good morning all.

Temps supposed to be in 80's and winds seem to be down so the plan is burgers on the grill and I'll make mac salad. Probably last time as temps going to drop this weekend.

Default tatar tot cass

this is one kids will love as well as the grown ups!
Brown 1 to 2 lbs of Hambermeat & drain off fat
put meat in baking pan, top with grated Cheadar Cheese or if you like hot food use Pepper Jack cheese. We like alot of cheese so we use a 6 oz pk of cheese. Top cheese & meat with i can cream of Mushroom soup. Stright from the can no water should be added. Then top that with tater tots we line them up accross the top and place in oven at 400 until tater tots are golden brown! Serve with rolls and salad. Great even warmed over if any leftovers that is

We aren't desert people here either! We rarely even eat desert when we eat out. I never seem to leave enough room for it! Ha! Any goodies I make here we have with coffee in the AM or munch on during the day.
It's still raining and windy here so dinner will be made in the kitchen tonight. Not sure yet what that might be but will post it later once I figure it out. All this Italian has me thinking spaghetti. We'll see.......

this evening, I'm eating meatloaf = polpettone in Italian and salade.
http://www.lidl.it/C1256FFC0058089C/a96ce807737b045fc1256c84003bad7f/3e39fb9b3f255cc5c1256e9b004413e2/rt_Segment1/0.5DD8?OpenElement&FieldElemFormat=jpg (broken link)

it's very easy.
I put the meatloaf in a tin with white wine and put it in the oven.
I'm going to the swimming pool and when I coming back, the mealtloaf is ready!

It's very good!

Then, I eat it with the salad and potatoes. i finish with italian coffee and biscuits

I'm very greedy! Before swimmingpool and after....biscuits it's my compromise!

ciao guys!!!
