The BP on the corner of W. Georgia Rd. and Standing Springs Rd in Simpsonville appears to be closed. I drove by today and noticed the gas prices on the sign are now blank, the garbage cans were overflowing, no lights on and no cars in the lot. I didn't have time to pull in and check it out. This station hasn't been open all that long, maybe a couple of years?
Spinx beginning to remodel the BP station at Standing Springs and W. Georgia in Simpsonville. Now hiring.
Think the Blockbuster shutdown has hit Simpsonville. On the way home last night, signage was all still there, but looked like no lights on inside the store.

With the recent announcement all non-franchise stores are closing, that location was certain to close soon.
Did anyone notice that two of the AT&T Cell Phone locations have closed? One in Easley, near Great Clips/Kmart. and the other one (wish I could remember the location, argh).... has anyone noticed any AT&T's closing?

Were these company owned stores or authorized dealer stores?
Got word today that Luthis pawn shop is closing christmas eve and a bank will be going in on the corner. There not expecting to open a new pawn shop like current but some things may be in place. Fly selection may be sold off as one unit to a possible new owner who will open a flys hop locally

Wow.. That's surprising.. You don't often hear of pawn shops closing, and Luthi's seems to be one of the bigger/older ones in Greenville. I'd assume, perhaps, this is a retirement or something along those lines..
Blockbuster in Simpsonville is still open.. Saw as I went by last night.. I'd guess they were closed one day to put up all the "Store Closing" signs or something like that.. They won't be open much longer, tho.
My understanding is a bank offered Luthis owner a sum of money that was too much to reject. Disappointing. I come to enjoy the shop as they offer a niche with firearms/ fly fishing supplies/ and jewelry, jewelry repair other places can't offer.

I do not know but I remember going into the one in Easley to check phone prices. It looked like an authorized dealer but I could be wrong.
