For myself, white.
Its classic, timeless, never goes out of trend, and goes with everything.

I'm one who likes Stainless Steel just because I like it. I never buy anything based on resale value. If I cant enjoy it fully, I dont want it in my house.

That said, I agree that, in some kitchens, Black or Almond or any other color might look much better than Stainless Steel.

And I have no trouble keeping my appliances clean and streak-free. ORANGE GLO Furniture Spray is the Holy Grail of Stainless Steel cleaners.

Reeally? Thanks for the tip. I have a stainless coffee maker that drives me nuts. Do you have problems with build up? Orange glo is actually bad for some waxed wood products because it builds up over time an becomes really thick and collects grime.

thanks Texasfirewheel.. I'll try the Orange Glo spray too. I hope it takes off fingerprints. Right now I usually Windex and then use furniture polish. My appliances are usually clean, but everyday I get the fingerprints.. and I'm ashamed to admit this, but there are no kids in my house.. all adults.. all men though.. and we all know they can be sloppy creatures.

just kidding about the men.. Don't hurt me guys.

TheWay.. spray it on the cleaning rag, not the appliance and you won't get the buildup.

Another vote for "other"--my DW and fridge are fully integrated with panels to match the cabinets, and guests often ask where these appliances are (they think my fridge is a pantry and my DW a regular cabinet)! I really like the look.

That said, my cooktop and ovens are trimmed with stainless; I could have chosen white or black but the stainless just seemed to stand out less given the overall color scheme of the room...bisque or almond might have worked but was not offered as an option.

I like a pretty yellow or beige color (ours is a beige color). And light brown color on the cabinets.
