They actually sent a letter to my job
it grinds my gears that they dont even give status updates. So you know what the hell is going on with your application.

I'm surprised that market tenants have moved in and no affordable tenants have (as far as we know). Those NYC affordable housing marketing guidelines that go around say that if any market units are available, "20% of total affordable units" have to be made available as well.

Why surprised? Who or what management doesn't want the full rent being paid for?

It's the law, even DeBlasio is involved in the process. 20% is a must.

Yeah, I'm being unnecessarily snide. Not surprised, just annoyed. There are clearly a lot of people eligible to move in that the developer is needlessly slow-walking. It stinks.

Well it did state in the 57-page document packet MHANY has up, that you have to stay on top of it every six months on your application.. I believe that's what they said.. even if you're on the waiting list too.

Approximately 3 weeks ago.
I am very worried and heartbroken by this situation now.

Ugh, don't be. I still have not gotten anything sent to my job as far as I know, they won't let me know. Whenever I ask about anything having arrived from HPD they react like I am asking them to donate a kidney. :/ I stopped asking 2 months ago.
