I haven’t heard but from this forum it is my understanding that they are trying to keep it under 35% of everyone’s income when making the offer.

I am going to leave to the universe. If I have to show them my rent receipts I can easily download from my landlord website.I understand by law they can't deny you solely base on your credit score, but this process is not transparent that I am just extremely skeptical....I don't suffer from anxiety, but this process is making me losing my sleep.

I believe they use on-site for credit checks. I work as a real estate salesperson and rent at Stuytown.

In case it’s helpful to anyone here: I have used Credit Karma for several years to monitor my credit, and I love it. When I first signed up, they helped me remove a couple of errors on my credit report that had been there forever—and my credit jumped 50 points immediately! It might be worth using for anyone looking to whip their score into shape for a check by Stuytown.

Thanks for the info. I have to wait until the leasing agent gets in touch with me. I got my final review Friday (from Ms. Pryce) so according to her email, I should get an offer. I am unsure if I will get one more email from her supervisor or if the following email is my offer.

I just got my final approval 45 minutes ago; Skylar my occupancy specialist informed me once a unit becomes available in my income range, the leasing agent will reach out to me. So I think we are good to go! We are so close!

Congratulations!! And that is indeed wonderful news! We had very different mornings as I just received an email from the lottery notifying me of our 'disqualification' for: Information not received within the time frame required.

I have to assume it's in error, as I had everything in within the 10 days and even have an email from Skylar saying they had gotten everything and asking what size apartment were we going for and did we have any pets. I forwarded them that email as well as my response. That was exactly one month ago and no one has reached out to me for any more documentation.

Has this happened to anyone else? I guess my biggest fear (apart from not being able to resolve this and being 'truly' disqualified) is that we have not been moving thru the process at all for some reason and now are going to the back of the line. I took the attitude of hands off and leaving it to fate and the universe, not calling or emailing to check and now I'm wondering if that was a colossal error in judgement. Could really use some positive bucking up here. I tried calling the number but had to leave a message.

Hi markienyc,

This happened to me in June.

I got an email title - StuyTown Lottery Wait List Disqualification.

Reason ___1) Information not received within the time frame required.

I called my specialist and she fixed the mistake. If you have time try to call until someone picks up the phone. Most likely it was a mistake. If you have proof you sent all the documents on time you should be ok.
