I'm log# 33** and have been on the waitlist for a 2 bedroom for a few months. Even though my documents were complete and approved those with much higher log numbers that first submitted their documents after me already have offers for 2 bedrooms and move in dates. Their system is not set up like it should be. It's very much the luck of the draw on who and when you're assigned to a specialist. I had to resend everything all over again since my 120 days came and went so have to get reviewed and approved all over again. I have cut way back on checking in here because it's really nothing but frustrating at this point.
Wow Chole, that is very frustrating. This process seems to have several inequities.
Are you looking for a specific price point? My understanding is that part of the process and the delay is when people are looking at for the lower levels of the 2 bedroom range.

Hello friends,
I called this morning and no news. I was able to speak with Susan (leasing office agent)and she couldn't give me a precise timeline. She said I am approved and I should expect an email from Obligo. I mentioned October moving date and she said it could be November.
I didn't mention the forum but I said a friend of a friend got an offer already. She was very nice but she said if I have questions I should call her and not to rely on a internet forum (insert screaming emoji). I played dumb...
At this point, I am not going to call anymore. They know me on first name basis and I don't want to jinx the process. I am going on vacation next week and I am going to enjoy my time with my family in Brazil.

Thanks, we're going on vacation next week and just hoping for some good news when we return.
I'm fine with any price point in the range so shouldn't be any issue on that end.

Hi all, I finally spoke to Syed today! They are well aware of this message board lol. He said the most important factor is the salary match with available apartments and confirmed that they calculate 35% of income to come up with that number. So those who are at the lower end of the income range may have to wait longer for an apartment because less of them are available, which makes sense. He also said this lottery has been crazy because of the insane income range spread that basically everyone in NY qualifies! He was so lovely and transparent and said they all understand how all of us are stressing because of not totally understanding how the process works. I felt better speaking with him, even though he could not provide much in the way of when I might get an offer - 1 bedroom log #16xx.

Fingers, toes remained crossed!
I was assuming that might be so. A coincidence has to occur of an applicants log# coming up, and also a unit suited to that applicant’s income circumstances becoming available.
I know someone with a low 1300s log# for one-bed only. (I won’t speculate or discuss income) They were told their application is complete in late spring or in summer but have had no further contact about an available unit. Fortunately, they are not facing the end of a lease or a large increase at renewal.
It’s beyond me to figure how an applicant can estimate well the income circumstances of applicants with lower log#s than theirs, and the regulated rents for units that become vacant and/or complete renovations.

lol. I am leaving to the Universe. I want to spend time with my family and relax. I am so grateful I have this opportunity to get an amazing apartment. I did everything I could and now I just have to wait.
Enjoy your vacation as well!!!

I am glad you were able to get hold of them. The income explanation makes sense, but I am wondering how many lottery apartments were disbursed. I always wonder if there are a lots of other applicants not in this forum getting offers.
Good luck to you and hopefully the 1 bedroom list starts moving soon.
