And if this helps - I live below the 10th floor because I went for layout and space instead of views, and I do not hear any street noise/sirens at all. The glass is incredibly thick, they are like noise cancelling headphones.

I agree re the windows. I have also found them to be very noise cancelling, though I didn't want to specifically speak to that because I do live on a higher (than 10) floor. Good luck with your process, hope you get in!
I just moved in this month and I'm on one of the lower floors. I can hear the sirens sometimes and I can hear people talking outside on their patios on 7th floor. My upstairs neighbor had placed their TV by the windows and all the sound traveled down the glass so I could hear everything they're watching on TV. I had to make a few complaints about that and maintenance even came into my unit and confirmed the sound coming down the windows from above.
I opted not to pick an east-facing unit because there's going to be building construction in the upcoming years over the train tracks, which means the view will eventually be obstructed and you'll have to deal with construction for who knows how long. My 2 cents

How strange about the sound coming down the windows, I've never heard of something like that. I hope you can figure out something to do, that would drive me nuts!

Hi! I just moved in as well. I wish I found city-data before I moved in - I would’ve asked if there were any units my size left on the higher floors. With that being said - anything and everything here is definitely an upgrade even if I have to share walls now.
Question: does anyone else on the the lower floors hear an intermittent dim slamming sound? About every 5 minutes/ 24 hours a day. It is definitely mechanical as the timing is consistent. Wondering if it has to do with being near the service elevator
I viewed 1 studio and 1 BR apartment and chose a 1 BR.
Congratulations!
