But honestly - 2 towers are already using the amenities, that's already a cause for extra congestion. I used to live in Two Blue Slip which is the size of only 1 tower, and the rooftop pool was extremely crowded to the point where if you didn't snag a seat 1st thing in the morning you were out of luck. 227 West and 1 Eagle also have market rate tenants, so I don't think they would want to cause extra congestion for high paying tenants.

27 Eagle is a separate building and was advertised as including their own amenities without access to 1 eagle and 227 west amenities. Everyone who accepted and signed the lease was aware of this, no one was forced to move in!

That's correct, but technically there's a thin line around it. If you have an old account that’s been open for years and add the partner onto the account as a joint and then get an account ownership paper from the bank they might take it without any statements. When I did it my account was open since 2002, but I added him on the same month that I got called for more documents and they accepted the paper as proof of interdependence.

Makes sense. I wish we would've did this. Smh. We even signed a contract, too.

For those who received HPD approval, how long before the management company reached out for lease signing?

It can be sooner. I was told the same thing and I was contacted about a day or 2 later. It took me about 9 days to sign the lease.

Thank you! Since I am breaking my lease I’d like to give as much notice as possible but would like to wait until I officially sign the new lease. Once the do send will I have the option to choose a date 60 days out?

From what a lot of people have said they had the option to move in within 60 days of signing the lease. Nobody bought up that option to me, but I want to move in asap. However, I do know someone who waited a month to move in after signing the lease.

I do know that people have the option to move in whenever they want as soon as the 1st month and security deposit is paid. I moved in on 1/22 and I like how it wasn't "either move in on the 1st or 15th".

I’m in a similar situation except my lease ends May 31st. I would want to extend my move to May 1st (approved March 1st) so I could possibly get my security deposit back.

Shouldn't be an issue, it took management nearly 3 weeks before they contacted me AFTER HPD approval.

Default Painting

Has anyone approached management about painting rules?

Per the lease, you cannot paint/wallpaper without approval, but I have approached management in other buildings in the past and received approval (taking on the responsibility of returning it to original at end of residency). Just wondering if anyone has tried in 27 Eagle.
