I see a lot of reposts. Some of the lottery units are not that desirable.

What other lottery apartments are available in the area? Is there a website that's listing the buildings?

https://housingconnect.nyc.gov/PublicWeb/

This is the main site. It’s for the five boroughs. Click on Open Lotteries to see what’s available. If you want to apply to something, you’ll need to create a profile.

Submitted my docs earlier this week and filled out the deposit explanation sheet on Tuesday. Called and they said its awaiting committee review and a decision should be reached 7-10 BD after submitting my docs. My lease ends 8/31, do you guys think I'll get a move in date of 9/1? Or should I start looking for other accommodations in the meantime like maybe a sublet for a month.

The explanation sheet is good news. Keep in mind if you are at the upper limit of your household income bracket, the explanation sheet can make or break your application.

The time between my explanation sheet and move-in date was 3 weeks.

Once my offer came in and I was transferred to the leasing office, I was given an "earliest lease start date" (i.e. move in date) of 9 calendar days from that day.

Hope that helps.

Yeah I think the explanation sheet is my make or break. But I think I should be under!

This is nerve wracking - I just want to know already!
