^^^ That is how I would interpret it, but you should ask. They may be requesting documents from more than one person so that there is a backup.

Good luck! Were you always first for this apartment or did someone drop out? Just curious.

Thanks-I’m still in 2 minds about it as I’d love to get a place at Gotham north but this might be too good to turn down if I’m eligible. I was originally 3rd in line after I applied.

Gotham north is very nice one. my log number for that is 110K so probably wont be selected for that one. I don't know how far in process you are for Gotham north but if your log number is not low and you haven't submitted documents and seen the Gotham, it will be better to go with the process here. But if you didn't go for this one it might come back again hopefully I can apply for it.

Interesting that the two people ahead of you either dropped out or were not qualified to continue. This unit is one of the cheaper ones, as I recall, so it's not a question of price. From your perspective, I agree with Sabavoon's advice to go with Stuy Town unless you're already in process with Gotham North.

I would add that it also depends on whether you want to live in Queens or in Manhattan. Please come visit Stuy Town and check it out, if you haven't already. It is an older development, of course, so you'd have to be okay with not having a shiny new apartment. And there are no doorman. But the Oval is lovely, especially in the summer, and it's unusual to have so much green open space in Manhattan.

Congrats, Blus19! I would proceed with ST unless you are well along in the process with Gotham North. But go take a look. It has its own vibe. I found certain aspects of life there frustrating during my relatively brief (market rate) stay (why are the trash chutes so small????????), but it certainly works for a lot of people.

Thanks all! I have a low-ish log of 18XX for Gotham Point and it looks like they have just moved on to non CB pref but that's only a good deal for me if I get in the 125ami which is not certain at this point. I know Stuytown pretty well so would be very happy there too. Have sent my docs in today so will keep my fingers crossed!
