Theft-plagued Walgreens closing 5 more San Francisco stores

The stores will close down next month, SFGATE reported. It said Walgreens has closed at least 10 stores in the city since the start of 2019. “Retail theft across our San Francisco stores has continued to increase in the past few months to five times our chain average" despite large increases in security, Walgreens spokesperson Phil Caruso said.

SF Supe: Gangs responsible for more than a dozen closures of Walgreens stores

May 14

Brazen shoplifting in San Francisco has forced more than a dozen Walgreens drug stores to close over the past five years.

Authorities said criminal gangs are responsible for the vast majority of thefts, which are costing businesses millions of dollars.

"Eighty-five percent of their loss is committed by organized criminal activity," said District 11 Supervisor Ahsha Safai. "That to me was just shocking."

Seventeen Walgreens stores have closed over the past five years because of shoplifting, largely the result of organized gangs. "They will rob about maybe $1,000-$2,000 worth of goods from each store from 10 stores or more in a single day."

Walgreens reportedly takes a hands-off approach to shoplifting. Interfering with a would-be shoplifter can lead to assaults, injuries and insurance liability; instead, employees are encouraged to call the police only after suspects have left the store, according to their posts on Reddit.

Either address the problem or say good bye and leave for " Higher Grounds ".
It's happening all over NYC. Article says,,,The businesses targeted by the group are sprawled out among neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens: South Slope, Bay Ridge, Williamsburg, Astoria, and Jackson Heights.

Besides that there are plenty more articles.

This isn't shoplifting. Shoplifting is like sneaky and discreet. This is outright Looting and pillaging.

The politicians, like the African American ones in the vid, know this will create a pharmacy desert where people rely on them for medication.
But nobody will blame them and instead make woke videos on food deserts and how systemic racism is the cause.

Nobody wants to 'get tough' on crime.

This technique is not new. Many years ago A&S in downtown Brooklyn had to close the back door that was near the men's departments because groups of hoodlums were coming in, grubbing stacks of jeans, and running out. That politician blames unemployment. Does he want to work with those people in the video? What great co-workers they would be. Very trustworthy. Make sure you lock up your handbag anytime you leave your desk. They're not mentally ill either. They are thieves, plain and simple.

I guess this why I've been seeing more and more tables set up on sidewalks selling random products.

And all these problems have one common denominator. Democrats. All of the them. From the governor, to the mayor, to the city council to the state reps to the district attorneys. All of them Democrat garbage.

Well, be glad this is happening to stores and not happening more frequent at your house or where you live.

Eventually they will come for your packages.

Of course, the corporate media will report on small scale shoplifting, by a small segment of Black people, but won't dare mention the trillion dollar wealth transfer...

Other parts of the city!
Don't matter.
Bad people will always seek out a good neighborhood to cause trouble.
