I hope you're right. That this is all sound & fury signifying nothing. It wouldn't be the first time things are whipped into a frenzy for some other reason but ... I don't know.

Things that make you go... hmmmmm.
No Rite Aid around my way. CVS, Walgreens and DR. I never go to DR because its out of my way. CVS and Walgreens looked normal to me. Walgreens bought most of Rite Aid now that you bring it up. The Walgreens around my way used to be a Rite Aid.

These theft losses are passed along to those of us who pay for what we get. This adds to the inflation problem---which the Democrats say doesn't exist. The good news is that Bidensters will suffer just like us Trumpsters!

Inflation? Everybody only buys when its on sale. What has went down in pricing in all the time you've existed on this planet?

Lol, so the other boroughs are experiencing this type of Manhattan crime on the same exact level of frequency

Can someone else chime in that doesn't live in Manhattan or a gentrified neighborhood in the outer boroughs?

Not hard to find, the news is full of articles. robbers come in and sweep products off the shelves into bags and walk out. Does it mean every time you walk into every drug store you will see an empty shelf? No, the shelf is only empty after the robber hits.

Here's one article and theres lots more.

"In 10 incidents dating from October 28 – December 8, 2016, the suspects entered pharmacies and stuffed over-the-counter medications and cosmetics into plastic bags before fleeing."

So exactly how long has this been going on? Let me guess - ever since Giuliani left office? Lol. Bring back stop and frisk for bar soaps!

Everyone's entitled to their own perception at the end of the day

No correction, you only buy when something is on sale. Not everyone shops at Costco or whatever. I can think of a number of things that have decreased in price that I buy and not because it was on sale. Price was slashed.

Well thanks for not naming the things that have decreased in price and stayed there for you, that really cleared things up

There's no shame in buying something that's on sale, what's wrong with people not liking to admit that? I don't actively shop when things are on sale, but if I see something on sale and it happens to be something I need, of course I buy it. I don't arbitrarily buy things just because they're on sale, a lot of people do that however.
