Cat, my family also gets together after Christmas--the weekend after New Year's this year. It just worked out better so we've been doing this for decades. No one has to host anyone overnight, though. It's an eating fest and there are usually games involved like Five Crowns and Scattergories.

This was at Thanksgiving-Hubby making a kite for our grandson. His youngest daughter and her daughter are sitting there. (You can't see her husband). Yeah, that is me in the mirror taking the pic. lol. And the table doesn't have all the leaves in.
Yes, that is a sailboat in the window. Anyone want to buy it?
Oh, and Trout, wasn't Jeff Healey in the movie Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze?

Even from that far away you look like a hottie, the woman behind the lens in the mirror in the mirror.
That is a nice table, we have several pieces that would go perfect with that table, antiques with designs that way.We have a big chest like that about 200 years old and it actually has a leather front that a knight on a horse is sitting on engraved in the leather, really a stunning piece of work, I bet it's worth ten thousand bucks and this house is filled with antiques like that. I should take a pic.
