So why didn't he say it was a joke right after he said it? Because he didn't think people would take it seriously? 1) All the time people who make jokes on others, say right then afterward, "I was only kidding." They do NOT let the joke go on. and 2) He thought that during a pandemic was the time to joke about taking bleach to disinfect the body from the inside? Really. You really expect people to believe that?

Why are some Republicans -- even DT, NOW saying wear a mask? Oh because even more Republicans are starting to think he really IS not up to leading this country in times of crisis? AND of course because they see his poll numbers -- AND theirs...and are starting to think...this person may cost me MY seat. So NOW Govs in TX, FL, AZ are s t a r t i n g to change their tune. Too late!
So I watched the revived Donald Trump (Coronavirus) Show, and I had a mixed reaction.

The first one was: So finally the grownups got his attention. Good.

But the other one was: His tone and cadence sounded to me like he had been drugged before going on air, or otherwise forced into saying what he was saying. He sounded like he was going through the motions.

I'm sure the grownups are banking here on the short memories of many Americans as well as their willingness to forgive some transgressions (too many on this guy's part IMO). The question then becomes: Can he sustain this all the way to November?

It turns out that the president is dumb as a rock.

Not looking good for the Red Hat Brigade as the bettors are currently giving Biden a 60%+ chance to win and part of this is due to Trump polling so badly in the swing states like Pennsylvania. You can dispute the validity/reliability of the political polls, but the betting oddsmakers don't usually get it wrong.

Within my adult lifetime, the US Supreme Court has taken a presidential election away from the likely winner and handed it to the GOP and the press rationalized it as "well, the Democrats had eight years, it's the other guys' turn now." So don't write this one off just yet.

Plus with guys like this voting for Biden: https://www.phillyvoice.com/voter-fr...ting-machines/

You know Biden's going to win. He has to. My question to all the liberals on this board is simply this: who's actually going to call the shots when Biden gets elected? You have to know it's not going to be Joseph Biden. If you do, you are crazy.

I'm a socialist. I don't like Biden at all.

I'm willing to admit that maybe nominating Biden has value if he wins. My problem is that Biden is the "return to normal" candidate. The normal that facilitated the rise of an American fascist.

We cannot return to 'normal' because 'normal' doesn't work. I hope whoever comes after Biden has better ideas than ethnofascists like Tom Cotton do, because we're running out of time.

So you are going to vote for Trump?

I'm voting for Biden because PA is a battleground state and the alternative is worse.

This is not an endorsement of Joe Biden, who would have fit perfectly into the Republican Party in 1986.

Pennsylvania is a moderate/centrist state even in the blue cities. Lockdowns, rioting, masks, abolishing the police, and general disrespect for America are generally unpopular. On top of all of this, Biden is a weak candidate who inspires exactly no one. Pennsylvania is remaining red.
