According to what? I cannot even schedule an appointment because everything is already booked 5 days in advance. People are getting vaccinated.

Maybe I just lucked out, but I saw my primary care doctor last week, and they had the COVID vaccines in their office, so I received my first dose. Now that practically anybody is eligible to receive these vaccines, it makes sense to have a large quantity widely available at medical offices and pharmacies ... not just at the mass vaccination sites. My parents received their shots through pretty much the same process. No hassling with glitchy websites or long lines!

Got a news alert earlier today that on Saturday, 03 April 2021, over FOUR million vaccine shots were given in the USA. People ARE getting vaccinated and that's great news.

That is an impressive feat ^. We should all be delighted that the Defense Production Act was finally expanded to include the equipment for the Pfizer factory expansion. And to force a subcontractor for J&J into round-the-clock bottling. Read https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/10/u...s-vaccine.html Without it, this updated fast rollout could have taken several more months.

Last week, a friend's adult children in their 20's came to visit AZ from MI for 3 days. They returned to MI yesterday with a J&J shot in the arm. Evidentially, it's not too hard to get a shot right now. As I said before, AZ is rolling the vaccine much better than other states.

The mask mandate is back on in Phoenix:

Last weekend downtown Phoenix was insane. It’s clear that some people need to be told what to do to act properly.

Insane? I live downtown. Aside from a few vagrants entering Circle K or McDonald's everyone I see is masked. There is people walking down streets alone and driving with a mask on.

Maybe downtown wasn’t the right descriptor. Roosevelt Row on Saturday night. It looked like 2019.

True that. The stupidity of closing down businesses, schools, churches, etc., increasing suicides and other mental health issues over a disease that after more than one year has killed .22% of Phoenix' population.

All that over-reacting over .22%. After over a year. Now that, is stupidity.

When would it not be stupid? .44%? 2.2%? 22%? Where's your line? What's your cost per person? What about those who don't die but have long-term health issues? Do they count for anything?
