Possibly, Asians voted for the President because his sister, Maya, who is half-Indonesian, married a Chinese Canadian, Konrad NG. Maya campaigned with Asian organization on behalf of the President. Michelle's brother {go Beavs} has a Caucasian wife. Obama's family is truly multi-cultural.

That also makes no sense. The GOP is all for school vouchers/choice, letting the students and their families choose a school that better meets their educational needs, but the Dems are vehemently opposed to that. The Dems want to keep kids trapped in abysmally performing schools. That's the ANTITHESIS of valuing education.

Asian Americans overwhelmingly backed Obama, Democrats - latimes.com
Use some logic next time. They simply don't like the racist undertones of the current Republican Party.

It doesn't have a genius to figure that one out.

Unfortunately for GOPers, they understand family unit, society, value education, detest racial undertones, see thru lies, are smarter, educated and are generally for a progressive society while trusting their cultural roots, something that alludes the typical representative of GOP.

Not really. If you look at the places that are majority, or have significant numbers of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean Americans they are overwhelmingly Democratic. Just look at what happened to the GOP in Hawaii and the bay area.

There is still that thing called "Honor" in many Asian homes, gop and romnesia has 0% in that field.

Lying is not Honorable when your in a status of the "Privilage". What reason do you have to BS so much?

The general comments that came across was that romney had no class and was a cheap $h!t puppet.

Hmmm... Dems undermine education. If they didn't they'd be all for school vouchers/choice instead of insisting on trapping kids in abysmally performing schools. Everyone knows that. Look at how poorly U.S. students compare to their international peers, particularly our top students.

Regurgitating right wing talking points won't help when the audience is smart and can easily see thru the stupidity. I celebrated "Diwali" with several friends last month and, of course, the election was the topic of many conversations. Romney wasn't getting ONE vote out of a possible eleven votes (all Indians). It wasn't even a secret that they all wondered how in the world could he even have the support that he did.

Asians are not "white" - it seems like some people in the GOP are slowly, regretfully changing their attitudes and allowing Asians the keys to the kingdom in their heads, but at the end of the day, they more see them as a means to an end politically as opposed to equals.

I've certainly known conservative, GOP-leaning Asians, but they are the extreme minority - something reflected in this election's turnout.

The Asian community also famously values education, something that the GOP seems to villify and deem "unnecessary."
Excellent post. Do you guys get it now?
