Your guess would be right. The GOPs demographics are collapsing.

Hawkeye--is that you?

I'm guessing it has a whole lot to do with the new R party being openly hostile to most brown people and immigrants--actually, pretty much anyone who isn't a white Christian male.

Aww.. look at all that compassion coming from a liberal who froths at the mouth when free trade is mentioned because what free trade actually means is Americans giving up their lifestyles so that "brown people" and their lifestyles and standard of living increase.

Free trade was started to help minorities achieve? You can't make this stuff up folks. Get over it, America is changing we don't even have enough resources to take care of ourselves 100% percent. You've been lied, used and abused by your peers as a way to ensure easy votes, realize that and move on.

In the early 1900 poor whites were taught they were better than poor blacks and both races were poor, social conditioning they train you to vote for them and they **** in you to the point which you'll die in the street before you take out a loan to go see a doctor.

Pick up a history book and read, log off and stop the whiny old man bitching.

Thanks

i am certainly not knocking asians. for the record, the asian americans are statistically the most likely group to get green cards in america. Asian-Americans are the highest-income, best-educated and fastest-growing racial group in the United States.

what we are knocking is the liberals being actually CLUELESS how much this country can afford in terms of entitlements for all the new minority groups. we have had no tangible increase in our GDP, yet our costs are skyrocketing.

it is going to be something when the liberals find out that their kumbaya moment isn't going to play out like they thought it would, and they will be fighting each other for crumbs before it is all over.

BECAUSE AMERICA IS A LAND OF TAKERS NOW. (and there isn't going to be enough to go around)

He is the "sugar high" president. He will keep expanding "safety net" programs until he leaves off and put into place a massive welfare state unlike the rest of the world has seen. Will those people on the "sugar high" programs move up in life? Some, but has the failure of the Great Society programs has shown, most won't.
The election is over. You lost. Get over it.

Something like 58% of Asian Americans are Non-Christian and the GOP is not exactly the party of Non-Christians.

Yes and no, based on that chart. I think in this election, the big issue for women was health care. That's out of the way now so the Dems will have to find new ways to scare women into voting for them outside of using abortion and birth control as their go-to scare tactics. If you look at the age brackets, it's clear that the older a person gets, the more likely they are to vote Republican/conservative. The only big difference is race, and although that angle gets a lot of play, it's also a number's game. The coalition of ethnic groups existed to take out "old conservatives," but that will not always be the case. So with the aging GOP membership dying off, the moderates who voted Democrat may look for something new, hopefully in a more moderate wing of the conservative camp (Libertarians, for example). Also, both Asians and Hispanics were about the same in voting for Romney. The immigration scare tactics of the Democrats won't be as effective come next election either. The black-vote disparity is what it is, but as blacks continue to make strides, that chart will change over the next several decades, or century. As far as on education, it's pretty even with Romney taking the lead over the college-educated. Post-graduate individuals would make up a smaller number of college-educated individuals. Part of the restructuring of the GOP will come in the way of not alienating the more moderate wing of the party, or the Independent parties will gain members, although that transition may take a couple of election cycles to be viable. The income gap is of note but that can improve toward the conservative side if this economy ever gets off the ground again.
