How else are we supposed to stop kids that encourage each other to commit mass murder from online sites? What do you propose? It’s called background check. If they’re discussing ideas for mass murder on sites known for harboring mass murderers, they can’t get a gun. Too many people have been killed this way.
Confiscating guns or prohibiting people from buying them because of what they said is absolutely restricting their free speech under todays laws.

But now you are calling it a "background check" to try and gloss over it?

A background check is looking for CRIMINAL activity, speech is not a criminal activity, such as domestic violence.

Do you really believe what you are saying isn't a restriction on free speech?

My proposal is to actually enforce many of the laws we have in place, which we dont currently do.

You would do that how? Did you know mass shooters almost match % wise to the total population if we are only to look at race.

Which laws are we not enforcing?

What is scary as people like this can vote, and now we are realizing how people like Maxine Waters and AOC get elected. They have crazy lunatics that do not understand the constitution voting them in.

That’s it?
That’s a lot less effort than what you typed before defending 4chan.
I thought you’d come up with at least more than one.

I didn't defend a particular website, I've seen 4chan its a dumpster fire, but I don't have to like the particular speech to defend it.

It's one example but there are plenty more. Our politicians love to add regulation to what they already can't enforce. After Bernie Madoff and the financial crisis, they wanted to add all kinds of additional regulations, meanwhile they ignored warnings about Madoff suspicious activity WHILE SEC employees were literally surfing the web for porn at work.

If we enforced the current laws, we could prevent lots of problems.

OH, and actually my "one example" is really 60k examples of one of the most important ways to stop guns from getting into the hands of the wrong people... But I get it, that fact ruins your political rant, it's cool. Just be honest that you don't care about real examples, and you would rather be duped by politicians looking for more power and more money by taking advantage of easily fooled and gullible people who think we need more laws, when in reality it's our government not doing what they previously agreed to do. There's a sucker born every minute, and unfortunately they vote for the manipulators we put in charge.

You also can't stop someone with a gun unless you also have a gun.

Or a crock pot, or a moving van, or fertilizer or tainted kool-aid, or a jumbo jet.... Or any other creative means we have seen already.
