Yea but we haven't had a violent government attacking our citizens like some other countries. Maybe the do it in secret but no, they can't just get rid of everyone who doesn't agree with them.

I guess it didn’t stop “right here and right now.” Sad.
It can't. No words, no man, no laws can make it stop.

In other news, did you know humans are a violent species? And there are tons of them in the USA, and also tons of division between groups of people who are vilifying each other more and more, plus lot's of people on psych drugs too. Just tossing that out there.

Probably why gun restrictions work in every other industrialized country... next.

Third to last sentence in the article...enough said.
I like being unique.

Still people are clamouring to be allowed to enter.

And based on that article, you are basically proving my point. We have a bunch of useless unenforceable laws, yet you are going to just listen to these idiots with one objective (power, or maybe money and power) who wrote them/passed them in the first place, who are trying to trick you into more of the same?
I glossed over the dangerous people because I already stated ideas to stop them from getting the guns.
The unenforceable laws were altered by NRA lobbyists and the politicians they pay, so we need to get them out.
I still havent seen you put forth more than one law that needs to be changed in order to be enforced. You put up a good one, but its only one.

So automatic weapons weren't used in that attack in Paris?

Maybe you should do some more research.

There are more guns than people in this country, and that in combination with the neglect of inner-city economic problems and the suicide rate across the country is the reason why we have so much gun violence.

End of thread.

That NICS database is the main stop gap and its not being updated or used appropriately. That is a HUGE HUGE issue, I don't think I need to research every law to further my point. And my larger point was that not for just gun related issues (ie my Madoff/SEC point) our government does not enforce the rules it puts in place, but is quick to just add more. Its a problem of our inefficient government that needs to be solved.
