"It's a disgraceful situation. It's a total witch hunt," Trump said on Monday. "When I saw this, when I heard about it, that is a whole new level of unfairness."

Oh my Mr. President. Its "unfair"

Might they find something Donald pushed the legality envelope in over the years now that they are in possession of private documents held by his attorney? Most likely but do you see the problem here?
You don't know what investigators have or don't have. None of us do. You won't know for a long time still.

Lawyer - client confidentiality is a privilege. If you're lawyer gets implicated in a crime, they can be searched like everyone else.

Pick a better lawyer.

What is not in his scope?

Manafort a dirty guy but gets nailed for business dealings years ago that had nothing to do with the reason for this investigation.

Clinton got deposed and asked about a sexual liaison that had nothing to do with the reason for that special council.

Mueller's scope is whatever he feels it is. At the very least he can use it as pressure to get what he really wants.

How do you know they have nothing? Mueller has not shown his evidence to the public yet, therefore you don't know what evidence they have.

While Mueller could probably argue a crime that is not related to Russian involvement in USA elections is somehow part of the investigation -- it is best if he finds 'other' things to let those investigations be separate so it isn't perceived as him just going after anything and everything.

He did not initiate the warrants for these raids. Some third party USDA, appointed by Trump, did .

When the Special Counsel, in the course of his investigation, came across what appears to be criminal wrongdoing that is out of his jurisdiction, he did the correct thing. He went to his boss who is the Trump appointed Republican acting attorney general for the Mueller investigation and asked that this evidence be presented to the proper authorities.

In this case the appropriate jurisdiction is the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York. This is an office run by Trump appointee and Republican Geoffrey Berman. Mr. Berman was the one who made the decision to seek a search warrant therefore he found there was credible evidence to move the process forward.

In any other Democratic country this would be called Due Process but in Trumplandia it’s called a “break in” and an “attack on our country.”

Good luck getting them to understand this. I have been hammering away the same point for months and they still don't get it.

When he loses enough congressional support and Mueller is threatening serious criminal action, then tRump will bail.

Stay tuned.
