Trump's still going to go down regardless of all this conspiracy garbage invented to justify the actions of a deranged and corrupt individual no rational person would acknowledge being representative of their own values.
He left out "Hilary", "Benghazi", and "fake news".

I have read no further reports of what happened to the men who were hauled out with bags over their heads. No hearings. No trials. No chance to defend themselves. Wonder if we'll ever know what happened to them.

Anyone who claims that gathering up evidence is just KGB (actually FSB) style stuff is either misinformed or spreading propaganda.

Is this the new hope of the Dems to get Trump out of office since the Russian thing isn't working?
It's not Stormy or Russia.

It's Stormy AND Russia.

It just keeps getting better.

Carry on.

I sure hope Cohen had the wherewithal to not keep any hard copy records of any evidence and deleted all the e-mails and electronic records of any wrong-doing. Because the FBI now has possession of all his electronic devices and hard copy files.

Who knows how much other evidence of crimes has been revealed by those interviewed by the Special Counsel team or by the Grand Juries?
OK
Paying her is not necessarily the crime itself
Lying to his bank, for example, about why he wanted the 130K is bank fraud if he said it was for a room addition and it wasn't used for that...

So the problem is how/why he made the deal and also I guess whether or not Trump was a knowing participant
Trump said on the plane that he did NOT know what was done in his name

But I think it will prove that the campaign fraud may extend past this use of 130K in Daniels NDA to other examples when Cohen was the assistant national finance director for the RNC

I think that whenever those skeletons in all those other closets are glimpsed, regardless of party affiliation, they get dragged out into the light of day. Trump should get a free pass why again?

A poll taken of the sitting Repub's would probably reveal they're as repulsed by the man as are the Dem's. You surely cannot claim that they're not conflicted while watching them dither and waffle over his antics.

Now I'm sure most supporters of Donald Trump would like to downplay the significance of a campaign finance law. But I'd bet that if former POTUS Obama were accused of breaking a campaign finance law by paying a porno star he had sex with to keep quiet two weeks before the election, those same people downplaying it for Trump would be marching on Washington and calling for Obama's impeachment.
Ditto!!

Take the ridiculously high number of lawsuits fr'instance. The Trump campaign was run just like Trump Organization. Lawsuits were met with bluster & then ultimately settled quietly with everyone involved required to sign nondisclosure agreements so that Trump Organization could avoid public scrutiny while also avoiding the admission of guilt or of any wrongdoing.

The Trump campaign was run just like Trump Organization.

The Trump Presidency is being run just like its campaign & Trump Organization.

Hopefully this will not happen again, i.e. "fool me once ...".
I agree with your points except for the "proper vetting"
There was plenty of news about Trump's past history of preferring a chaotic management style
That he pitted his staff against each other because he liked to see the bloodletting
That Trump really had no special talent or skill as a manager or business man
That many of his business efforts in the past were tainted with ties to the mob for money laundering or with breaking his legal contracts with those who worked for him--like contractors, attorneys--and being sued for performance...
There was evidence that he set up charities and took donations and made himself the beneficiary of those donations in violation of the law
There was evidence that Trump could have been a conduit for money laundering for Russian oligarchs and he had dealings over past decades with someone like Felix Sater who has been to jail because of his illegal acts

So don't say there not a "proper vetting"
The information was out there
The fact is that certain factions of voters and news media and government officials chose to ignore his history

This is YUGE.

Irony: Trump asked SD NY prosecutor Preet Bharara, an Obama appointee, to stay on. Bharara agreed. Then Trump fired him and replaced him with his own appointee, Geoffrey Berman. I suppose he thought Berman would be more loyal. It was BERMAN who got and executed the search warrant on Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

It's a LIE when Trump said it's Democrats. This is not related to the "Rusher" investigation. Berman is Republican, a Trump appointee. They're looking at Cohen for money illegalities.

Mueller ran across something about Cohen and, as is the normal practice for investigators, referred that info to the appropriate jurisdiction. In this case, it's the Southern District of New York (Geoffrey Berman). It was entirely Berman's decision to act on that information.

It must be pretty strong, for Berman to have taken this step. A SEARCH rather than just a subpoena means they're looking for some certain things and it was high risk that Berman would not turn it over voluntarily and might destroy it. That's why you do a surprise search and seizure.

Just fyi: This isn't the first time the $130k payoff/"donation" has been noticed. It was flagged by some authority previously as being "suspicious." I forget who that was. I'm thinking it was a bank?

Yes, but there's the rub. If he resigns he can't pardon himself and his kids and whoever else the long arm of the law is closing in on. Rock, meet hard place.
