So your answer is "yes", the FBI somehow knew Page would end up working for Trump when they applied for the first FISA warrant back in 2014 regarding him. I disagree.
If the original FISA warrant happened before Page worked for Trump, then it obviously wasn't all some big conspiracy against Trump. It's simply another example of Trump hiring shady people, the examples are legion.
The IG says the origin of Crossfire Hurricane was legit. There are questions about how the FISA continuations were handled - it looks like rules were broken. Again, Page wasn't working for Trump in 2014, so it couldn't possibly have been a plot to "get Trump".
.
First, we have a very detailed look (texts between L Page and Strzok) that clearly proves Trump was the ultimate Target .... of course, then we have the Dossier, which clearly focused on Trump, and by all accounts, was the most influential evidence used to secure the FISA warrant ....
He didn't say it was legitimate. He said no wrong doing by the FBI occurred in the beginnings of the investigation. That was because at that time they did not know that the Steele Dossier was a load of crap. Once it was learned by some of these agents that had passed it on before that it was bogus and they kept that information to themselves, it became a serious issue.
AG Barr disagrees with that assessment. Barr believes there was a very flimsy reason to start an investigation in the first place. The thinnest of suspicions..
That she was Andrew McCabe’s FBI lawyer, and admitted to attending meetings in his office (text messages to Strzok) discussing the “backup plan”, I’d say she was participating in a conspiracy. When two or more people meet, plan, discuss the commission of a crime .... in this case ... illegally spying on a citizen of the United States, on framing a president of the United States ... on attempting to overthrow the President of the United States .... I’d say she’s in pretty deep.
If they have some proof that this was some specific plan I agree but short of that its just some personal rhetoric in an personal text message.

I love how you require evidence spelled out in a "specific plan." Yet when it comes to Trump you are willing to accept innuendo upon supposition upon implication upon suspicion. No hard evidence necessary if it's Trump who is being criticized.
More double standards. If liberals didn't have double standards they wouldn't have any.

Your dog doesn’t hunt.
Unless you're claiming that Strzok, Page and the entire approving chain within the FBI are clairvoyant, yes, it absolutely does hunt. Page didn't work for Trump in 2014. Period.

I guess Horowitz forgot to consult with you and your vast knowledge of what really happened.

Page was a CIA informant. After trying to get a FISA on Papadopolous and failing, they went off what Poppy said in a wiretap, that the Russians would be willing to help "us" Carter Page was the only person that ever had contact with Russia. The FBI assumed the bogus Downer tip, was about Carter Page.
The insurance policy was to lie to the court and alter documents, in McCabes Office meeting. In comes the Steel Dossier. Remember the date August 15th, 2016. A lot was going on that day.
