Except the son of the VP wasn't involved, according to the Ukrainian government. If Trump wanted Joe investigated, why ask Ukraine to do it? Joe doesn't fall under Ukrainian jurisdiction in any way, shape, or form. Is the DoJ investigating Joe? How about Hunter?
The difference being for personal gain vs. in furtherance of our national interest. Ukraine being less corrupt is definitely in our national interest.
Did Trump ask Ukraine to crack down on corruption? No, he didn't. He asked them to investigate "the Bidens" and Burisma. Then he asked them to publicly announce the investigation. How does that serve our national interest?
That post depicts the sort of blind faith thinking that allows the crooks we have in DC to get elected.
With about 7 1/2 billion people in the world equally unqualified to hold a position on the board of directors of a major energy company, they just happened to select Hunter Biden's name out of a hat?. Maybe they felt sorry for him because he had just recently been dishonorably discharged from our Navy for drug abuse?...and he just happened to be the son of the American Vice President, who was oblivious to the fact that Hunter now had a $50G/month income? Didn't he wonder how his son could finally move out of the basement?
BTW- if you actually read the infamous transcript- Trump, who obviously is no threat to Marcus Tullius Cicero's position as the best oratorical rhetorician of all time, asked the Ukrainians to re-open the investigation of Burisma and to co-operate with our investigators. He just dropped the names of the Bidens along the way, in his flow-of-consciousness style of speaking in broken sentences. One could not, obviously, investigate Burisma without including Hunter & Joe.
A politician makes decisions in office that should be primarily aimed at improving the lives of his constituents. Those actions could provide secondary gain in winning votes. Too many politicians have that backwards.
As I understand it, the only thing she and Strozyk did wrong was use government devices to communicate their feelings about Trump.
Shouldn't the pro-Trump FBI guys happy with the Trump win also lose their jobs if they voiced those feelings on government devices?
Whether one is for or against, using the govt device for a personal communication is the issue - not their political beliefs.
The misuse of govt property is a minor issue.
Their communications showed they obviously didn't like Trump and were glad they could be involved in the potentially damaging investigation. …. The question is whether the investigation was initiated, or unfairly conducted, or inappropriately continued due to their personal feelings. The Horowitz investigation seems to indicate that the initiation may have been appropriate (a lot of lying & cheating to get the FISA warrant. You know Mark Fuhrman didn't have to plant those gloves to frame OJ, either), but the conduction & continuation was not, with motive undetermined.
Because of the egregious way the FBI went after Trump it is the same manner of which the Democrats are going after Trump with falsified speech and lies about Trump to impeach him. This impeachment is the exact same witch hunt done by the democrats and the MSM is also complicit with repeating the lies and giving it credence. It has none. A lie is a lie no matter who keeps saying it is the truth.. It is still a lie. This is MSM today. FAKE NEWS , CONTRIVED by MSM.
I want to see why the GOP did not release the emails of agents who supported Trump.
What are they hiding? Was a conspiracy to get Trump elected in the found? The GOP under Trump is full of conspiracy theories, most a projection of their own dirty deeds.
1) the presidential campaign investigation where the candidate itself is kept in the dark.... What motivations do you think the FBI had.... Don't be coy about it... You can go ahead and say it everybody including Durham already knows...
So your answer is "yes", the FBI somehow knew Page would end up working for Trump when they applied for the first FISA warrant back in 2014 regarding him. I disagree.
If the original FISA warrant happened before Page worked for Trump, then it obviously wasn't all some big conspiracy against Trump. It's simply another example of Trump hiring shady people, the examples are legion.

Look Carter Page had a speeding ticket in Moscow or some similar BS, now we need a FISA warrant..
The IG says the origin of Crossfire Hurricane was legit. There are questions about how the FISA continuations were handled - it looks like rules were broken. Again, Page wasn't working for Trump in 2014, so it couldn't possibly have been a plot to "get Trump".
