Stagger the infections as to not overwhelm the healthcare system, especially for those that need critical care and ventilators.
This is what our hospital is doing. Moving people quickly through the system to free up beds and converting an entire unit to negative flow. No visitors, no surgeries and very few if any exceptions. Its like a war zone....but much quieter but still dangerous.
From this article it sounds like lenders took the initiative and decided to help out. How different from here when we hit a rough patch and the banks ask us for money. But that’s ok.

CDC is going to issue some guidelines Monday morning. What does it have to do with an outcome and that I've "clearly made up my mind." This is about CDC guidelines. You clearly have no idea what's going on or what anyone is discussing.

That is what happened in Italy. People who did not have to go to work or to school went drinking and eating and traveling. Today, their death rate jumped 25% in a single day. Americans are acting the same way. My next door neighbor decided to take a trip to San Diego now that are schools are closed. We might have been better off to make people work and go to school and do the social distancing there.
They might halt all domestic airline travel for 14 days.
I get that but when does this lock-down of seniors end? If we are vulnerable now, we are vulnerable in 6 months, and in a year. The isolation of seniors only works if the virus is eradicated but quarantines don't eradicate they just delay the inevitable.
That is my issue with it but I suspect that if they think they can get 6 months they may be able to find an already existing drug which will help seniors not die from it if they get it.
I already saw that India has had some success with HIV drugs. I also wonder if Vitamin D status from the summer could assist.
