I think we are seeing what their true intentions are now.
The fast food places are still drive thru only all these months later.

The virus has been out of the bag since January and it’s inevitable you will either get it and survive (likeliest outcome) or get it and die. I am immuno-compromised but choose to live as best as I can taking precautions, virus will have to run its course. We are only human and can’t control it, just be thankful it’s not Ebola.
Why is it so hard for people to understand this ? Nothing will change this, regardless of whom is in charge. A vaccine will be the only way for this to change.

COVID does not care what country you are in, what state you are in, what your religion is, what your politics are. It is coming to get you. If it has not already, it will infect someone you know. Your family, your co workers, your church membership, a friend and odds are good at least one will die.

Right. A lot of people filed for unemployment back in March/April and never received a cent. In some cases those who did receive unemployment are being made to pay it back months afterwards even though they had been encouraged by the government to stay home and that they would get unemployment.

I thought Trump was big on closing borders. If the country shut down for 3-4 weeks, you paid people enough to sustain them, and closed the borders, we would likely have this behind us. Plus it would be a whole less costly than what it has been by dragging it out.

Vivek Murthy, a co-chair on Biden's coronavirus task force said a lockdown of the country is not practical and would be too damaging to the economy. He favors only targeted restrictions for certain areas. They'll probably have to hit the larger cities with lots of restaurants like NY, the media is claiming those are the super spreader locations.

Right...because this latest jump in cases is because of open borders
And shut the country down ? Where do some of you get your sense of logic from ? SMH...

If you are high risk, stay home.
The government has been forcing those on food stamps to do their work requirements even if they are high risk. Doctors have been refusing to fill out waivers to exempt them from work requirements to keep their food stamps. If this virus is so bad then why aren't doctors and the government taking this seriously? Or are they hoping people with health issues catch the virus and die?

Also, I see you omitted the death rate in your rationale. Did you omit the death rate as it has clearly fallen while cases have gone up?
The death rate has fallen even with the heightened infections but still over 1,000 a day, we are more educated and many at risk are isolating. Still hospitals are being overwhelmed, anyone who claims otherwise isn't reading a newspaper. It's not all about the death rate, it's about the capacity of our health care system.
