Looks like the 'woke' NBA execs saw through this and wanted to make sure the National Anthem plays, just so they could appease the idiots who want to kneel and grandstand.
Imagine that. You are so 'woke' that you are afraid to discontinue a tradition because to do so would prevent these 'heroes' from kneeling and other antics during the National Anthem. Common sense would dictate that if you remove something that is supposedly so 'offensive' to these 'heroes,' that would be doing them a favor.
Honestly that doesn't mean anything anymore because they had record streams. Even personally I use Roku for a bunch of services and I don't get CBS so I had to stream to watch the game
There are other ways to show patriotism rather than symbols, why is this and taking a knew such a big deal. I have more of an issue with all those so called patriots disrespecting the flag by beating capitol policemen with it.
Dems and Liberals stand for nothing...they can't make up their minds....they claim to be "outraged" when the Capitol ws stormed....but then they're bruning down Americas cities and institutions....they don't want the anthem played...but they celebrate and take off on the 4th of July...one day they're burning the flag...the next day they're putting out a fire with it.
Dumb just dumb. Stop playing the anthem so that people don't have something to gripe about, from either side. You want to listen to it pull up Youtube.
It's a sad day in America when NOT playing the national anthem at a frickin' sporting event offends the radical right. It's all part of the radical right trolling the internet for any sliver of "not the way I see the world" they can use to express faux outrage.
Why aren't you outraged that the national anthem isn't played at the start of every single city council meeting throughout the country?
Why aren't you outraged that they don't play the national anthem before your kid's soccer game on Saturday mornings?
Why aren't you outraged that they don't play the national anthem before you board a plane?
It's a sad day when being proud of your country is considered radical right.
