Why, is having the national anthem played before sports one of yours?

A sad indictment if it is.

Better not fly any flags either.

If Cuban wants to consider the American flag a political statement even though a home game in an American city that's on him and for his paying customers to deal with.

Note is the Mavericks arena corporate or municipally owned venue?

I haven't watched the NBA in years no longer watch MLB and the NFL is losing my interest rapidly. Eventually these leagues are going to narrow their audience quite a bit we'll see what that pie looks like for them with all their guaranteed contracts. ESPN = gone will never watch again.

- Commitment to being a country of immigrants.

- free press

- 2nd Amendment rights

- Work ethic

- The national psyche, you love a winner.

Of course, I'm merely a naturalized citizen, so maybe my opinion counts less to you than someone born and raised here.

I don't like it but it might be necessary right now. It's a shame that the left and their identity politics have made the national anthem such a divisive thing. It used to be unifying. It's a shame but it's where we are right now, so maybe we should stop playing the anthem before games, at least until this wave of self loathing by the American left simmers down a bit.
