Freedom applies to all parties, including the employer in an employer-employee relationship. They have the freedom to decide that they don't want your unvaccinated self in their office.

the cases and serious cases and deaths haven't really moved since January.

They are definitely moving down - but to whatever degree you think they're not, consider this:

Many - many - many - people who are getting the vaccine were ALREADY immune from the virus.

It is statistically possible at least that until this week, not one person who wasn't ALREADY immune got vaccinated.

So it's not the huge impact you'd expect - yet - but in one more month - with undeniable inroads towards previously vulnerable people - I would expect it to drop.

If we reach 250M vaccines - and nothing changes - then check back in - you win. Until then? Means nothing. Literally, statistically - it means nothing.

Some data is starting to come out of the UK concerning this:-

The vaccine drive is working really well in the UK (so far anyway).

Yep, it looked like it was starting. Multiple (most) European countries that were late with the deployment did get a huge wave.

Also check Israel's results. Follow their data, cases, and injections - to see when you can expect a change here.

We're not there yet. We're just not.

Chile is also one of the most fully vaccinated countries though, and they've also gotten a bad wave. And most recently, Oregon which is one of the most vaccinated US states, is having one of the worst COVID19 waves, vaccine or not. Which could be caused by the mutants.

I was looking at Portland the other day. What they have is a bump in cases, not deaths. I would hope as they have had more vaccinated, that the deaths will not soon rise. Since the cases in those vaccinated tend to be much milder. A short time will tell...

Chile also has strict lockdowns so if their rising covid cases means vaccinations don't work doesn't it also mean lockdowns don't work?

Chile has been aggressive in vaccinations, 40% have had at least one dose. Now for the rest of the story, which is that Chile is using is a Chinese vaccine that is just not that good.

Across Chile—which has mounted one of the world’s most rapid vaccination campaigns using the vaccine made by Chinese drugmaker Sinovac Biotech Ltd.—health authorities are scrambling to deal with a surge in new infections and deaths.

On Friday, Chilean authorities released the results of a study of 10.5 million people, showing the vaccine was 16% effective against infection after one dose and 67% effective after a second dose.

To the moonbats, a case is a case is a case. As long as they can perpetuate their agenda through covid fear, they will emphasis number of cases even if those cases are little more than a mild cold.
