I saw something 2 weeks ago that showed 25% of doctors/nurses/medical staff in NY state were unvaccinated.
And while you will poke holes in my opinion - I have REAL doubts about the % of vaccinated people in this country. I've read some things that suggest it is lower than what they claim it to be.
Everyone telling us these stats have lied about stuff before. And, the media - all the damn time.
Why believe the numbers from them? No, I can't provide proof for my opinion, but it is my opinion.
Actually, Biden (and the White House) issued statements re: there will be no federally-mandated vaccine passport. That said, being denied access/service (among dense crowds) because one has chosen not to be vaccinated is not the same as 'mandatory vaccination', lol.
By that standard, demoting a subordinate or cutting their pay for not having sex with you isn't coercion because they were free to walk out at any time.
Using a position of power to exert influence on someone else's medical choices that THEY ARE NOT ENTITLED TO INFLUENCE is the prima facie definition of a mandate. If it doesn't rise to a mandate, then it's at least coercion.
How are we to sort out the hokum when sources of information do not agree?
- The covidictators demand that everyone be vaccinated. They are afraid of the virus.
- The mandate protestors are afraid of government taking away civil rights.
- The antivaxxers are afraid of what is in the vaccine (or what ELSE is in the vaccine).
- The Demstapo want more control over the population. They don't want the pandemic to end.
- The positivity index is statistical garbage as long as they use wrong population bases.
- Politicians think they have to DO something.
- The press is spreading scare rumors.
- Most people are totally confused because nobody agrees.
- The numbers we are getting from different people do not agree.
- There are several different kinds of tests.
- There are several different kinds of vaccines.
- There are several different kinds of virus.
I lose patience with anti vaxxers because I want normalcy. And because about half the population won’t mask up and get vaxxed, we won’t have normalcy for a long time. You know why employers are beginning to require vaccinations? Because they want normalcy too. They don’t want out of sight insurance costs or the lack of business caused by skittish customers. They want normalcy.
I wear a mask as mandated by our governor. But my mask is not as effective as two masks—yours on you, and mine on me.
When people refuse to mask up and refuse to vaccinate, they prolong this misery. And they run the real risk of infecting others, as did the teacher who recently infected over twenty people including some of her elementary students.
But I do not think anything is accomplished by nasty barbs tossed back and forth. The anti vaxxers are the worst at this, IMO.

How do we know that what you are saying is true? It sounds like propaganda.
From what I am seeing now, none of our puny efforts are going to stop the virus. It sneaks around our defenses.

Think it through. Who makes up the bulk of the hospitalized patients? How does the virus evolve? In a large unprotected population or in a large protected population? Does the virus evolve to be less infectious, or more infectious?
How were polio and smallpox eradicated?
Why have we not been able to completely eradicate measles?
Why is such a small thing—wearing a mask—so onerous?
How would you feel if you found out you had been the vector of the disease that sickened your family?
Why aren’t epidemiologists and direct health care workers believable when they recommend vaccinations and masking?
Not so. Department of Defense employees have been ORDERED to be injected with this inoculation.
Of they want to continue working there, yes there is a mandate. Isn't employment at will in most places? Why are conservatives complain about at will employment when it effects them...
