What was the trap the GOP senators were trying to set for her?
What is "something," and why should it be inconsequential -- or consequential -- for her job qualifications?
I'm not trying to bait you; these are honest questions.
Good question. I'm more interested in why she is so against the sex offender's registry and why she has a history of defending sex offenders as well as having history of trying to overturn Trump's orders which would eventually be overturned by another judge.
I think Biden has set a precedent by establishing the race and gender of the nominee. If the next President says "I'm going to nominate a White man for the Supreme Court vacancy", I guess nobody can complain.
Who complained when then-candidate Ronald Reagan promised to name the first female Supreme Court justice in 1980?

She answered those questions. Get a transcript and you will understand her logic. May not agree, but she did adress the topic directly.
I could paraphrase but best you read the exact response. Quit a few senators grilled her on this. She did not avoid or dance around the topic.
The Dems gave us the first black president, the first black vice president, and now the first black woman SCOTUS judge.
I don't t understand the above .....
.my understanding is and has been that the qualified adult is interrogated , background checked and either approved or dismissed from consideration.
I think the approval is qualified based.
Said the same when Kavanuagh was nominated . - qualified and approved.
Congrats are in order .
3 Republican senators voted yes, for a final vote of 53-47. She's in. I concur with Senator Murkowski (R-AK) who said that while she doesn't agree with everything Jackson stands for, she's a qualified candidate. I certainly don't agree with her stance on issues like CRT, but that alone isn't worth writing off a candidate. JMHO.
