Yet, another glass ceiling has been permanently shattered on a national level with Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation. Today's confirmation signifies antiquated ideologies can be dethroned and a diverse judiciary system can truly proliferate.
From the article when asked if they could define what a woman is:
“I don’t have anything for you on that,” said Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.).
“I’m not going to indulge you,” said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) dodged the question three times in a row, citing her policy of not talking to reporters in Senate hallways ― even though it was Blackburn who made this an issue with Jackson in the first place.
“I have more of a traditional view of what a woman is,” said Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.).
I read that several in the GOP themselves were unable to provide a definition. Of course she and they know what a woman is. She just wasn't taking the bait.
Because like I said, she'll support the Dems' ongoing efforts to completely claw back Title IX. 1972-2022. RIP Title IX.
Biological males will now freely eclipse biological girls and women as if they didn't even exist, à la Lia Thomas.

They just didn’t want to “take the bait.” They are just following Judge Jackson’s lead, she she’s best and the most qualified candidate (now Justice) EVER, just like how Joe Biden is the best President EVER! *honk honk*
Absolutely minor league compared to what Kavanaugh faced.
Eh, they were equally awful in their own way. As far as I'm concerned, Republicans are still bitter over the fact that Democrats blocked Robert Bork from getting confirmed back in 1987 (when they took back the Senate in the '86 midterms), and Democrats about the stunts the GOP pulled first with Obama in blocking Garland and then sneaking Barrett in at the last minute. Both sides are playing political football, and it's getting monotonous. Kind of strange to think now that both sides used to be able to agree on previous SCOTUS nominations, as they unanimously agreed on Justices O'Connor and Scalia. Sadly, those days are gone.

I have no idea what she'll do in that regard. Those issues are above my pay grade. We'll just have to wait and see how the SCOTUS rules in these matters. It's still a conservative court.
