Why not their gay partner? Where's the harm in this? What if their gay partner was the child's guardian?

In that case the partner would be entitled to benefits as the childs guardian and not the spouse of a gay person

But why shouldn't they be entitled to benefits as the spouse of a gay person? That's discrimination. They no more deserve benefits than my wife and I do.

Because the intent of the programs and the guideline used to administer them are designed to protect families and children. Gays already participate in these benefits as individuals they dont need another avenue to feed at the trough

Then remove those benefits for child-less straight couples. You either have to cater to both, or cater to neither. Anything else is discrimination and against the constitution.

Oh god, I'm so tired of all you homophobes trying to debate your way out of this. You're not concerned human beings, you're homophobics who clearly have no problem discriminating. That is it, plain & simple, you can't try to logically argue about your stance for denying gay marriage because it is NOT logical & it is totally & 100% discrimination. You're hateful people who try to use religion & economics to shield your judgemental ways. Nice try but we all see you for what you truly are, & what you truly are are pathetic small-minded disrespectful haters. No one takes you seriously because we all know you're full of illogical hot air, no matter what argument you try to use, it's useless & has no standing ground.

No, it's fact. You & your other homophobic friends have no sound basis for denying gays the right to marry. None of you have yet come up w/a good argument. THAT is garbage & insults, not what I said. Nice try though.
