Nj, can this woman pick up the phone and just call?? That blows me away, would be hard to run a business on 'email' i should thing..she would be better off texting you, lol.

Texas, wow that sounds painful...take those pain meds..let us know what happens and it does sound like you have good surgeons..hope it doesnt come to that..I wonder if they can relieve it with physical therapy?

NJ your baking and cupcakes sound really good. I am sooo hungry for a cupcake and cold glass of milk. I dont want to make a bunch, its just dh and me..maybe i will make some at the kids...they can eat them.

ok have more packing and sorting to do, we are not leaving at the crack of dawn, if we get out of here before 9 am we will be lucky..i am a slow boat when it comes to getting my travel act together, at least with the car I can toss it in, with flying its more complicated!

Hammy,
Wow! Four showings in a week is great! Oh, just read about the possible offer next week. So exciting!

Judy,
Good to see you.

Texas,
Sorry about your spinal issues and pinched nerve. I hope the specialist can fix you up without surgery.

Not much going on around here. DH is still out of town. He went from ND to MN. The weather there is insane, as I'm sure our MN girls will agree. I don't know when he'll be home. A couple more weeks?

We're getting closer to the time when we'll put our house back on the market. Mid to late February. I'm kind of nervous. I really hope we get it sold this time. There's nothing wrong with it for anyone wanting a small house. (1200 + sq. ft.) It's not perfect, but at the price we have it it shouldn't be expected. lol

Niki, your house is probably what we are looking for, only it's not in Northern CA. You might be surprised, but a lot of folks, especially us empty nesters, are downsizing. Don't discount your cozy place, there is the perfect house for everyone..Just takes a while to find it!

I will be checking in here more often I promise. I came home for awhile the other day and managed to just get on the site and then hubby wanted to leave so I wasn't able to even say "Hi"!!!

Afterwards he said "you have an appt with a spine specialist on Friday. You have bad spinal stenosis (I'm only 47) and you have a bulging disc with a pinched nerve. You might have to have surgery". So needless to say, I've been pretty upset all day. I don't want surgery. I hope the spine specialist has alternatives for me on Friday. I am feeling pretty dopey from the pecocet they put me on for pain, so won't be on here too long tonight.
OMG - how horrible. I cannot even imagine being in that much pain. Take good care of yourself and get better!

Seriously, what is WRONG with your agent???? I swear to god there are more lazy agents out there than not. I cannot believe these people are not busting their butts trying to seel homes in this market. It is almost like they expect commission for doing nothing.

Just looked at weather.com and here is what it said:

actual temperature -22 but feels like -36.

Today would be a great day to curl up in bed with the electric blanket on high.

Physical therapy will probably be inevitable after they shrink the bulging disc. It's how they are planning to shrink it is what makes me nervous. I am hoping and praying for injection over surgery.
Wishing you and your husband a wonderful trip and happy house hunting!

Thanks Lacey, Nicki, Hammy and Tambre for well wishes!

Sara...I hope your hubby doesn't need surgery either. I will say prayers that he doesn't. Surgery scares me and I'm a dang RN! PS: I see all the screw ups--that's why I'm scared!

Dang---I forgot to look at Parents magazine when I was out yesterday. After my appt on Friday, I have to go to the store..."note to self---check out Nj's lil' darlin'! NJ, your realtor is a piece of work! Text her back in real big letters and say "WHAT TIME??? 2-3 HOUR WINDOW PLEASE!!" She'll get the message!!

Brrrr! I'm glad I'm not in Minnesota! Here in Orlando I'm looking at 52. But 52 for Florida is freezing!

I bought my house in July, and unfortunately the heat doesn't work. Me and my friend have a bet to see if I could go through winter without the heat. Well, it being Florida and all, I figured I could survive the "winter".....needless to say, my fingers are cold, but I've got my big comfy bathrobe on....I'm surviving!

Have a good day, all!!

WELCOME ILOVEBDJ, glad you dropped into camp to say howdy. (Painter is in FL, over toward the panhandle...where you at Painter?) So what's up with your heat??(reason I ask is hubby is in the biz, and I can't tell you how many times it turned out to be a tripped breaker and I always think he can 'help' halfway across the country LOL)
52 is a mite brisk for FL!

Yep we got some gals in the deep freeze- Minn. that is But is it 6 here and a dusting of snow/ice/crap- streets covered but not the ground yet. Suppose to be in the 40's tomorrow- crazy I tell ya crazy!!

Niki, Barb is right. A lot of folks are looking to downsize. I would love a smaller home. What posessed us to get this big of one?...I had visions of entertaining, but lack the socialable folks to do so.There's some odd folks around these parts And apparently it's not 'cool' for co workers to mingle after hours or something???

I'm hungry-bbl
